I did around 400 KC running around the room, using 1 sip of stam per kill. Although I did get proficient at the method with 25 kill trips max, this is so much better
Started doing bandos 6:0 the other days. Was using a Stam dose every kill and realized it’s gonna so hard to sustain doses. This being more Stam friendly is a godsend

The initial boss kill is the biggest hurdle so far for me. Once I waste 80% of my supplies doing the first kill, I can usually do fresh kills after semi-consistently.
You're doing great! Keep practicing and eventually the first one will go smoothly as well. Best I've done is one hit, but usually I was getting 2-hit before setup.

I would recommend maximizing magic defense and ranged offense. That should look like void bottoms and d'hide top. Make sure that when you're using the bow it's on a 4 tic attack cycle. And I think the armor set substantially increases the power of the crystal bow. Worth it maybe. Great questions. Glad you got your answer to a few in the comments.
Thanks I appreciate it! Yes it does, you MUST use the rapid attack style. I would recommend you use this style for almost everything. Long-range and accurate are both 5 tick.

2nd attempt and just pulled 9 kill trip, by the way how to handle the run energy? well im still learning but if you miss 1-2 times ina row i kinda get very low in run energy. (same setup , 81 agility). i get it is part from learning it and once i perfect it i should not have this problem anymore.
@@nicolasalvarez6109 nice gz! Try to Ctrl+move during the minion and reset phase. Only run during the boss phase. This pretty much keeps me good, but I've still had to teleport out for recharge/ breaks if unlucky.
Great video, we’ve been playing GIM since release but can’t always get the homies together for something like Bandos anymore. Most of our accounts are way past needing a group for it but we just never finished it. Full crystal + bofa on this tomorrow. Hopefully I see some drops for the group!
I used to do it, I see a lot of people using it. It's a solid option, but will cut your trip length down if you have to bring fewer prayer restore. I find BP and B2P to be sufficient with food drops where I'm only limited by prayer. I'd say it's personal preference +stats make a difference.

Eating hard food will break you out of the cycle and lead to even more damage. If you absolutely need to you will have to reset on the ends as I've demonstrated. I recommend waiting or using brews in the middle of the route to keep attacking (not the red door or alter clicks at the ends). You can use steel skin the whole time to improve your defense. If you are taking hits from the boss (you shouldn't), you must use pray melee. Otherwise I recommend you always use range prayer.
I don’t expect you to respond to this, but I can do this perfectly UNTIL I get to the altar. When clicking on the door from the altar, he stops in the typical red click manner, but punches me AFTER I run past him. I know I’m messing up the cycle somehow, but idk how.
I'm going to give this a shot soon. I've got 614 kills (no bcp or tassets yet; just boots and hilt /weep) using whatever the X:0 method uses the room perimeter method and it's sorta slow, but feels super easy so I just keep sending it. I've burned through a lot of money using blood barrage for the kill cleanup. I'm hoping the swap to thralls and the more frequent attacks can prevent minion dmg piling up. Did you mention if you're using rapid or accurate?
I'm using rapid attack speed. It's mandatory for this method to use a 4 tick weapon because of the way it makes the boss move. But you can use ANY 4 tick ranged weapons. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
If you really want to, you can bring an explorer's ring. The benefit of this is you can also use it to recharge some energy if you ever get low. I find that if I'm walking between the kc then I do not run low on energy. With this method I typically leave most of the rune items on the ground. (As an iron there is a lower incentive for picking up rune drops.)

I must be missing something? When I do this, I don't get hit by bandos, but the minion damage adds up and I end up needing to eat up and reset before the minions kill me. Am I just getting very unlucky or is there something I am missing?
Good question! What is your defense and magic level? Those all play a factor in how much damage you take. So will your gear. Additionally your range level and gear will affect how quickly you can kill Bandos. Faster kills means less damage.
@@TreaOB 95 def and 97 magic. 99 range and using the same gear as you but with an assembler instead of range cape and pegs instead of god d'hide boots. (I did try the range cape instead for extra def but had similar results to my previous runs) In your example, you take maybe 25 damage from minions during the kill. Meanwhile on average I find im taking 75 damage. Enough to where bp and peaches alone dont sustain. Is the example shown a very favorable kill in terms of damage taken?
How many kills have you had while experiencing this? It's possible that you just had bad luck over a few kills. Sometimes I get smacked too. I'm also using angler and defence potting, plus steel skin.

Looks pretty simple for sure, the attack timing might take a bit to get use to for me since I have to play on 100 ping from 30 since the servers are broken in east coast lately I’ll let ya know how it goes

@@aleco678 dont let 100 ping bother you! 100 ping is 100MS, a game tick is 600MS so you're losing 1/6th of a tick. occasionally you can catch a tick at the end, and your click wont go through till the next, but if you're click is happening in that last 1/6th of a tick you can easily just speed it up a bit

You could absolutely do that but I don't find the flicking at the end to be difficult. It also means slower kills and more stamina issues. HP isn't normally the limiting factor with thralls, it usually comes down to prayer restore.
You need ANY 4-tick ranged weapon. I recommend you use a rune crossbow with ancient d'hide/karil's at the bare minimum. I've never tested it with magic but I'm assuming it would be not good because of the defenses.
Oh come on... Godswords are 6-tick. Cbow and O-fang is 5-tick. Crystal bow, Bofa and whip are 4 tick. Msb and kcbow are 3 tick. Blowpipe and knives are 2 tick. All on rapid here.
i have 78 agility, not the best not the worst, but im running out of run every trip it feels like like 4-5 kills in, i bring a stamina which is fine i guess, but annoying idk if im doing something wrong, or just unlucky slow kills, full crystal, bowfa, anguish, 96 ranged. not sure, either way awesome and easy video

Still getting the hang of it. But this is much easier. Just got my first tasset drop thanks to this!! Even when my guy doesn't move out of line, sometimes I'm still getting hit. Am I just not clicking to the next tile or altar in time after attacking?
Nice gzzz! Thank you. Yeah if the boss is hitting you then you're breaking the 4-tic cycle somehow. Remember you only need to click the door/altar at the ends after that attack.
@@TreaOB when I’m running back from the door side to the altar, can I just use the altar as my click point though? It’s a larger target and makes it a little easier for me. But if that’s breaking out, then I can try and just click on the tile.
Yes it will interrupt the cycle. Reset as I demonstrate on kill 3. Starting at the altar, red x door on the same tic as bandos melee. Then you're back on cycle.
Without stamina or a ring run energy becomes an issue. Also, if it is possible, it would only work with the melee minion. And it's much simpler just to prayer flick.
Not needed if you're walking between kills! But just to be safe, it would be helpful to take an explorers ring or a stamina potion while you're learning.
bro i got a staff of the dead drop my very first gwd kill at k'ril tstuorth last night i cant believe it. I tried bandos with the range way but i forgot to turn auto retaliate off and ended up dying i need to go back and kill them all to finish the frozen door and unlock nex. i dont know what method i should use for bandos to get the key i only need 1 kill
At a minimum, I would go with Karil's Crossbow and 75+ ranged. At that point, the minions will do most of the damage, so 75+ defense and Karil's armor will be dangerous but most likely possible. With enough skill you can pray flick two or all three minions and take 0 damage.
Your character paths straight before pathing diagonally. So by attacking before the diagonal you can red click using the door without breaking the cycle. *You only click the door from the alter, not after the run-through.*
It's because the 'red x' action is prioritized ahead of some other actions. This includes the boss moving. It places you in the correct position to 'dodge' him.
I can't get the timing to get him in cycle :( I've tried for almost a week now learning but I am so inconsistent with clicks... I can do CG, but I can't do this ... fml

I know right, I have given it multiple chances, solo or duos with various gear setups and levels. Currently in the 90+ combat stats and fairly decent gear and it still sucks ass. Honestly glad that I am a main account, so I will just go for the combat achievs and never return.
I have such a love hate relationship with it. I love the bosses designs, the lore, the difficulty that is almost unavoidable, and the loot of course. But all of that is almost completely mitigated by the follower essence system. If only they made the combat diaries just scale all the way to zero required essence…

How did you outline the altar? I have npc indicators and tried adding the altar but that did not work.

Use the plugin that counts down the spawn timer. It'll make it much easier for you to get the timing right.

It took me quite a few kills and trips to get it down good. Don't give up and eventually you'll have it down no problem!

I'm kinda late to the party, but do you know how its different for a 5-tck weapon? I don't have a bowfa because I genuinely despise CG.
Sadly, this method is impossible with a 5 tic weapon. There are other x:0 methods, but this one is by far the easiest.

This is maxed dps because you are not losing any tics in the attack cycle - in fact, you must keep up a 4-tic cycle to avoid damage from the boss.
You said 4 tick weapons, do you have an alternativ for bowfa that would work? :)

Still getting the hang of it. But this is much easier. Just got my first tasset drop thanks to this!! Even when my guy doesn't move out of line, sometimes I'm still getting hit. Am I just not clicking to the next tile or altar in time after attacking?
Nice gzzz! Thank you. Yeah if the boss is hitting you then you're breaking the 4-tic cycle somehow. Remember you only need to click the door/altar at the ends after that attack.
@@TreaOB when I’m running back from the door side to the altar, can I just use the altar as my click point though? It’s a larger target and makes it a little easier for me. But if that’s breaking out, then I can try and just click on the tile.

Yes it will interrupt the cycle. Reset as I demonstrate on kill 3. Starting at the altar, red x door on the same tic as bandos melee. Then you're back on cycle.
@@derekkim4947 try walking between kills. Pro tip - Ctrl+click to walk with run on. Can always bring 1-2 stamina depending on your efficiency.
Why not continue doing the red x for the minions?
Without stamina or a ring run energy becomes an issue. Also, if it is possible, it would only work with the melee minion. And it's much simpler just to prayer flick.

But just to be safe, it would be helpful to take an explorers ring or a stamina potion while you're learning.
bro i got a staff of the dead drop my very first gwd kill at k'ril tstuorth last night i cant believe it. I tried bandos with the range way but i forgot to turn auto retaliate off and ended up dying i need to go back and kill them all to finish the frozen door and unlock nex. i dont know what method i should use for bandos to get the key i only need 1 kill
Gz on the early SotD! You can use the entry method I show here for an easy 1-2 hits from the boss for the entire kill. GL!

What’s the minimum gear and stats you would take ?
At a minimum, I would go with Karil's Crossbow and 75+ ranged. At that point, the minions will do most of the damage, so 75+ defense and Karil's armor will be dangerous but most likely possible. With enough skill you can pray flick two or all three minions and take 0 damage.

Your character paths straight before pathing diagonally. So by attacking before the diagonal you can red click using the door without breaking the cycle.
*You only click the door from the alter, not after the run-through.*

I don't understand the code for him not to attack you if you click alter door but if you were to run by him he'd smack you
It's because the 'red x' action is prioritized ahead of some other actions. This includes the boss moving. It places you in the correct position to 'dodge' him.
I can't get the timing to get him in cycle :( I've tried for almost a week now learning but I am so inconsistent with clicks... I can do CG, but I can't do this ... fml
Practice using a metronome and timers. This will help you anticipate actions and get into a rhythm. Just like playing a drum.

No, the boss will switch targets and ruin your cycle. I mean, you CAN, if that melee is a tank. Or to hit minions.. maybe.
I must suck, I scuff this like crazy and just get 60'd into a 35. Dude trips over his feet as I'm trying to move, stops in place, gets rekt, find myself spam clicking to get my dude to even do what I want him to and meanwhile taking 60's and 35's

Just keep practicing bro. You'll get the timing firm. Use a metronome it may help. Make sure you're attacking every 4 tics.

GWD is genuinely some of the worst content in gaming
I know right, I have given it multiple chances, solo or duos with various gear setups and levels. Currently in the 90+ combat stats and fairly decent gear and it still sucks ass. Honestly glad that I am a main account, so I will just go for the combat achievs and never return.
I have such a love hate relationship with it. I love the bosses designs, the lore, the difficulty that is almost unavoidable, and the loot of course. But all of that is almost completely mitigated by the follower essence system. If only they made the combat diaries just scale all the way to zero required essence…
