@@Texas_Road_Warrior well for engine to understand the new throttle bodies I'm pretty sure it has to understand it's taking more air in. Unless there actually is a leak from the part
@@imadonistv1178 The airflow code from the throttle bodies isn't being triggered at WOT. It's happening at small throttle openings where there is a correlation error between throttle position and airflow. While we can't see inside the S650 ECU yet, all modern cars have airflow correlation checks of some sort. A single 90mm throttle body can support over 600 hp without any problem. 2 of them is overkill. An NA S650 will not need bigger TBs at any conceivable bolt on power level.
These cars are going to drop some serious times when the ECUs are unlocked… they shift at peak power, and that short shift at the 1000ft mark is annoying… I’d be willing to bet we’ll see .2-.3 in the 1/4 with just a tune if not a little bit more
The throttle bodies with an E85 tune is definitely gonna do that paired with the ported heads and intake manifold It already has! I think you're on the money. TB's, E85 and tune-ability is gonna be worth ATLEAST 30whp, a couple tenths, and a couple mph ALLLL DAYYY!!! I say EASY 10.3 @ 132 once that is ironed out!
I was thinking about doing the anti gravity Battery for my car just to drop another 30Lb's off the car but I see it's probably not a good Idea living in South Jersey where it goes down below the 20's at night...
He goes over it kinda briefly. 1320 ported Intake manifold, Steeda CAI's, Kooks longtubes dumped, ported heads, Lithium lightweight battery, carbon hood and trunk, drag pack, Baer lightweight drag brakes, carbon driveshaft, 3.73 gears (might have other suspension mods like a lightweight K member and drag coilovers but idk. Gonna watch the other videos on this build to get a better idea). Also it only has a driver's seat in it. I'm sure they've taken out a solid 250+ pounds if I had to guess! I'd say it probably weighs around 3500 without driver since they're 3830 (ish) stock. Now just imagine once they can tune the car AND trans for the throttle bodies and add more air AND fuel AND go full E85 🤪 Thing is going to pickup ALOT of power and tine in the 1/4! Just think about this....The trans isn't even holding every gear to 7400+ before it shifts and a couple gears are short shifting WELL under 7k RPM's. This thing is gonna be on the cusp of 9.99's N/A ON STOCK CAMS once they can figure out trans tuning/shift points as well as being able to go full E85 and take advantage of the bigger TB's once tuning is situated! It'll be a mid 9 second car N/A once the tuning is situated and some comp cams are involved! The funny thing about the car is that it doesn't look insanely modded, but there's quite alot of money and parts into this car bro 😅
Have you tried 1/4 mile times in Sport Mode compared to Drag Mode? It sounds like 5th, 6th, & 7th are upshifting too fast? 6th gear seems like it would be the sweet spot if you could hold it longer til the finish line.
It’s in drag mode for every pass with traction control off. It needs 7th with the 4.09’s. But you’re right. It short shifts several gears including 2-3 at 6400. Give me 7500 in each gear and it will drop a 1-2 tenths.
Naw everyone is doing blowers since you cant tune em. N/A is more of a challenge and way more interesting to me! DerekBaranProductions went 10.0 on his Lethal Performance Stage 2 bolt on Whipple kit on pump 93 with the biggest pulley they offer. Also had stock headers too on that pass. I think all he did was take out seats and put on a rear drag pack. Now he has a carbon driveshaft, headers (I think), beefier axles, smaller pulley (I think), and a new tune revision. Bro is gonna be mid-high 9's EASILY when he goes back
@@LongStroke351Good answer. Everyone is doing blowers on these cars. I wanna see a 9 second pass N/A WITHOUT cams once tuning is available. E85 and tuning with those new TB's paired with being able to rev ALL gears out to 7500+ I believe will put this car right on the cusp of a 9.99 pass!
I’m pretty sure ford has millions of dollars of RnD on the stock throttle bodies! If they saw gains with bigger ones I’m pretty sure they would have put them
Awesome! 😁
Can't wait for tunes!

Hey Scott, Im trying to get paddle shifter extentions for my 24gt but could not find any anywhere. Are u guys gonna make one for the s650?
That throttle body company is punching the air right now
Has nothing to do with the throttle bodies, its the fact you cant tune the engine to fit with the throttle bodies.
That company is the one that advertises their throttle bodies do not need a tune so there's that@@imadonistv1178
@@imadonistv1178it doesn’t matter… the twin throttle bodies are already overkill… with a tune it’s not going to make a difference

Absolute shame we can't tune the 24s. Not everyone wants a supercharger on theirs.
give it a year or two someone will crack it lol

Absolutely worth it
Always knew stock throttle bodies and air boxes were the most efficient lol
Can yall make a driving video for the full race steeda tri-ax short throw im really on the edge on buying it but there aren’t any reviews for the s650
We might be able to make that happen. How often are you on track with your S650?
Get the sport shifter and you’ll love it.

It drops so much RPM on that last shift. That is hurting your time

Id be willing to bet It's either on spray, boosted, OR a FBO heads, cammed and tuned car isn't it? This car isn't even tuned bro. Apples to oranges 😂
What air pressure range did you use?
20.5 to 22 psi.
Cant you paddle shift it faster? 1st gear or 2nd gear start?
1st gear start and no, it doesn't react quick enough.
Bummer for throttle bodies lol
Yep, unfortunate for all those S650s out there with a ported manifold, heads, and open headers 🫤
Where do yall race?
South Georgia Motorsports Park, SGMP
No this it what happens when you don't use proper size battery. Is it worth it?
It does save about 30lbs off the nose. This being a racecar we think it's worth it. If you drive your car on the street often, probably not.
Plenty of lightweight batteries that will do the job . Yes dropping 30lbs is worth it .
