I'm squished for time, so unlikey to finish watching, but the concept and presenation was supurb, Michael! Very classy! 😊 Happy New Year to you and your wife! 🎉
Great idea/concept,wonderful insight into Japanese record stores, fantastic way to buy rare and interesting records....I'd of had the Quadrophenia album and the Motown sings the Beatles LPs. Nearly forgot the fantastic prices . Many thanks Michael and Co for doing this....more please 👍😁👍
Yes! Seeing it through their eyes. All the spontaneity and curiosity. This was a pleasure of a project and I’m glad you’re in on it early with us. Happy New Year and we’ll see you on the Ranking The Obscure Lifestream next week.

Was great to see this and I’m super interested in how this will develop and be available to others. Got a pretty decent Japanese collection but have some gaps to fill and expand 😊 thanks and happy new year 🎉
Thank you very much. I often wonder how people living outside of Japan learn about Japanese pressings in the first place. Not every one was shipped to stores outside of Japan. A 2.5 hour dig like this one must be very revealing. Sources like Discogs don’t always include photos of the original OBI, for example.
Thank you for this lovely comment. Awatar, our remote record shopping service is actually live. If you are interested in giving it a try, please reach out to us via the link in this video's description and I will get in touch with you to discuss how we can help you fill in the gaps in your Japanese collection. Cheers, Nadia, President of Awatar.
@@ricefieldrecords For me it was TH-cam channels focussing on Japanese pressings combined with a great dealer in Scotland (that sadly no longer trades) and the record fairs. I managed to pull a good collection at decent prices before it exploded in the last few years. Discogs used as a reference.
Great concept Michael Really has potential. Who would have thought 20 years ago that you could be buying records remotely in Japan? Prices seem very reasonable & I think it’s a given the condition will be as stated (I know from experience Japan tend to undergrade) look forward to future developments 😊
Well, it’s the networks that are really the game changer now. 5G is fiber-like speed now, and that enables crisp and clear visuals and sounds. There’s very little jitter or frozen moments. That kind of thing can really make it a lousy experience for the buyer at home. The timing was really good for this one. Carlos is very experienced and having George and Jason together really made for the chemistry. And the fact that neither of them had ever visited Japan before apart from being comfortable with Japanese OBI and organization to a basic extent. Yeah, I’m really pleased to end the year with this project. Hopefully there will be more of this in the New Year. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Better than any live stream out there. Probably because of Jason/George. Add Stunty to the mix and we got a winning show on YT. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It’s a game changer. You gotta see it to understand it and we couldn’t have found two better guys to illustrate the experience.
@@ricefieldrecords Great, fun duo. I pay to see them do it again. Entertainment that’s missing from VC. Absolutely loving it !!!!
@@ricefieldrecords I totally agree. Jason and George are not only a good sport but great guys I love. Even if they don’t feel the same way about me.
Great stuff guys
Thanks Tim. International crate digging enabled in real time. Glad you enjoyed it.
