Great video! I now live 60 minutes to Shinjuku and Shibuya by train and I'm making basic videos about stores. I'm after the independents because they're more interesting visually. I just happened to be starting to research Koenji and this video came up. Thank you!

Thank you for watching! You’re lucky to be living there. Best place ever! I miss Japan so much but I’ll be back there soon. Yay!!! There’s a lot of great record stores in Japan. So many and it’s wonderful.

It’s an incredible place to see even though it’s small, it’s filled with tons of his stuff. I filmed heaps and nobody told me not to but then when I saw the no camera sign, which is quite small and barely noticeable, I decided that out of respect for the store, I wouldn’t post what I filmed. I will always respect their wishes.

Nah it’s still in Shibuya. Just a different location now. The last video of the Japan Vlog series shows where it is. It’s on the top floor of that building by the intersection crossing. The one in Akihabra is awesome too. Went there but didn’t film it for some weird reason.

I have seen very good stuff, but how are the prices?

It all depends on what you’re looking for just cos it varies all over the place. Like I went to one place and found The Jam peel sessions 12” for $12 but the cheapest one I’ve ever seen online is insanely priced over $100. Then I’ve seen some store charge $50 for a record I can find online for $10 so it all depends but for the most part, I think the prices are pretty good for used records.

@@enriqueagaton9515 they’re just like new metal records anywhere in the world… expensive. I didn’t buy anything new that I could get back home. I mainly focused on Japanese bands and used punk records.
