Arlington is the perfect city to live in, Ft. Worth 20 minutes westbound, Dallas 20 minutes eastbound. The city it’s not too big, it still feels homey like a small town but with ALOT of entertainment. I think it’s way better than Austin and I lived there too. I love it here, but it comes with a price. Taxes are through the roof!
I heard the Balinese in Galveston was similar. It being over the gulf, the authority’s only had one way in. They would gamble in the back and when the cops came, the band would play “the eyes of Texas are upon you” and they would clean up and hide the stuff.
The restaurant scene in Arlington is quite unique. Places tend to be more "mom and pop" than Dallas or Ft Worth with lots of ethnic variety. Neighborhoods are also unique due to explosive growth in the 70's and 80's. mixed with a re-birth today. Downtown is very small but walkable and safe at night with lots of things to do. Close to DFW airport also. .
Uh, Disneyland opened in 1955 as well as Knotts Berry Farm predating Six Flags. So they are not the first amusement park. And that goes back even farther to Coney Island. But non the less, I love this channel.
@@TheDaytripper I love Chet. But Disneyland is also a theme park. Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and so forth. Again I love the the Daytripper channel. Always a big fan.
