    Thank you.. I did install them and a DSP, incredible sound and saved over $1,200 by doing it myself. HD wanted $2,400 for the install not including the AMP and 6.5 front speakers. I did also add the Soundigital 800.4 and Hertz SPL 6.5 and WOW!!!! Thank you Carlos....

  • @BBD40

    I recently installed this kit on my motorcycle. This is my second time installing a set. I have one small issue with the install. The 3/4 inch screws that mount the speaker and basket are too short. Yes, they work. BUT you will get about 3 threads gripping plastic.
    If you want to prove it to yourself install the speakers without the basket. In mechanical engineering terminology they don't have the grip length correct.
    I went to Home Depot for some 1 inch screws and installed the basket.

    Hey so I have this kit front and rear speakers and love the sound quality plus it’s waterproof but is it possible to add let’s say diamond audio 6x9s in the same kit. Im asking because I’m getting 2 8” diamond audio mid range or sub speakers in my saddle bags

  • @mkane6258
    @mkane6258 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Carlos. I brought this kit for my 2010 ultra classic. And i brought the GZ 7x10 to replace the fosgate speakers. I was told that the GZ would go right in using the adaptor provided. My audio guy said he could get them to fit. (I think he was being lazy). How hard will it be for me to put them in myself

    • @NVSAUDIO
      @NVSAUDIO  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      M Kane the grinding is a little tricky. I don’t blame him , I hate putting 7x10s in a 6x9 lid . It’s quite a bit of grinding to make them fit plus you have to remove the rubber cap on the magnet so the lid will close and it still hits a little .

    I looked at this kit hoping to convert my CVO 5v7 lids to 6x9. RF grill is smaller than the CVO stock grills so it won't work. Hoping to avoid the adapter route. Anything out there that you'd recommend? A cut-in kit that would be a larger cut-out/grill space than the original opening.

    • @keithbell8690
      @keithbell8690 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      American Hardbag.com has 5x7 to 6x9 conversion kit for OEM Cvo speaker lids. Enter 5x7 to 6x9 in the Search engine on their website. If you don't see what you like there try garage bagger stereo website.

    • @NVSAUDIO
      @NVSAUDIO  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Anthony De Lucia, Jr. I’m not a big fan of converting the 5x7 to a 6x9 . The adapter makes the 6x9 sit really low in the bag plus it lets water in . Here at the shop we make custom plates at convert the 5x7 to a 6.5 .
      Or we just drop in a Beyma 5.25 ( almost a drop in fit )

      I love Rockford Fosgate products
      My issues is with their 6.5 inch motorcycles speakers and the fact that their amp is only 400 watts . The fit and finish of the to Rockford kit is second to none , I just wish they offered 2 levels .
      What they have now is a level 1
      I would love to see a level 2 with a 800 watt or 1200 watt amp , a waterproof dsp and more powerful speakers .
