    And the
    Boss audio
    BHD14
We tested 2 Harley-Davidson speaker lid 6x9 cut in kits for factory lids .
These kits allow you to add 6x9 speakers to you factory Harley-Davidson speaker lids without having to repaint your lids .
The kit is completely water proof ( if installed correctly) .
These kits come complete with weather proof 6x9 speakers , cut in lid kit , cut templates, complete saddle bag wiring harness with quick disconnects so the bags can be easily removed and serviced.
We also tested both 6x9s and put them head to head .

Carlos, I just installed a set of the boss. Everything you showed that was different, boss addressed. Everything down to the weather strip foam/gasket. The only difference in the speakers was the magnet. They sound much better than I expected.

Appreciate the mention regarding our 2014 & up Harley 6x9 Lid Kits , in reality our kit, Rockford & Boss are manufactured in completely different overseas facilities, it is true that many manufactures share facilities for various types of product however in this case they are in fact different.
Since we manufactured our cut in kit First, when BOSS came out with their kit we of coarse purchased to make a extremely in-depth comparison to see if our product had been infringed upon as we all know the gentleman overseas may not be as we shall say known for their loyalty.
Turns out they are not from the same molding, in fact the Rockford Kit & BOSS have structural differences that are noticeable to the human eye if you know how and were to look for them.
Even though similar in style and design our 702 Motoring 6x9 Cut In Kits are using a different blend of plastic chemistry that is actually easier to work with, designed to hug the lid of the saddlebag better and less prone to cracking when some users may attempt to use a bigger basket 6x9's without the needed 6x9 1/2 inch spacers.
There are several companies releasing 6x9 Cut in Kits, AQUATIC AV is one of them and I can say First hand their kit will greatly outperform the Rockford kit by leaps and bounds, we have been in house testing them for a good while and the kits are available now, also another company is about to release a large selection of 2014 & up Harley product but it is best I not mention the name just yet.
Rockford is revamping their complete Product line currently as you know with regards to Harley product, times have changed, customer demands have changed and the offerings mostly from Diamond Audio and others have taken Harley Sound Systems to a completely different level.
Not so sure the new Rockford M5-800X4 is going to put you in your 800 Watt class you mentioned in your # 2 Video, the power is the same Rated Power (RMS Continuous Power) as the TM400x4ad and it is actually a little taller and longer, however we are sure all the new product releasing will be a big improvement over the going out product.
Rockford Fosgate is a Great Company with Great Product and we are 702 Motoring Las Vegas fully support their product lines.
Good job on your video's, keep up the good work,
Paul / Owner / 702 Motoring Las Vegas

702…..I just got “your kit” and it isn’t made BY YOU.
“YOUR KIT” Is made by Aquatic AV and had their name stamped on each piece.
You obviously simply asked Aquatic AV To make kits for you (less the speakers) and put you logo on the screens….and paid them a huge amount of money to do so.
So PLEASE STOP your BS that you make your kit.
Please learn from Carlos and be an upfront and honest business person. Your typical salesman BS is simply that… BS.
I did purchase the cut in kit, but thank God I did not fall for your crappy sales pitch on trying to purchase the speakers off you.

Awesome video bro. I just purchased the boss kit and it is ridiculously similar to the Rockford kit. One thing I saw I do really like about the boss kit, is the basket to protect the speaker allows for a bigger magnet. I’m really happy with the kit and was also surprised with the speakers. Definitely another option that’s a great contender for speaker lids.

I have Focal HDK-165’s in the faring of my ‘19 RGS and the Boss Audio 6X9’s in the lids and I think it sounds great! I was originally going to ditch the boss and go with the Hertz SPL Show, but no need at this point I’ll just wait until the Boss’ give out and save 400.00 bucks. It certainly helps that my system is running the Arc Audio PSM and tuned properly with an RTA by a professional, but I gotta say these Boss 6X9’s are a huge bang for the buck and really shine when they’re dialed in.

Thanks For taking the time to educate this Old head on what's going on Now . My Audio Experience was back in 90's and to Know what's being used Now from your Sharing Really Helps . I decided on upgrading my CVO 2012 and 2015 CVO Street Glides . With one being twin cooled , the Lowers on the 15 have no room and the aftermarket style rings don't appeal to me .
My Question or Area I need help in is the Lowers on MY 2012 . I don't won't to modify , looking for drop in fit .
I have been buying my equipment and have a SONY XAV- 7000 Head Unit , ARC Audio 720 4 ch Amp , Rockford Fosgate Punch 300 watt 2 Ch Amp , Rockford DSR1 , Diamond Audio M1SRT tweeters , Diamond Audio 6 x9 Motorsport and Diamond Audio MSPRO65 for The Batwing .
So I need a good 6.5 Speaker for the Lowers . You let us know about the importance of Speaker choice or Combinations and I need to hear my lowers and would like some Mid Bass if Possible . Not a lot of power , but I think if tuned right , it could sound ok . .
My Musical choice is Old School ie : AL Green and Johnnie Taylor and Marvin and who can forget Frankie Beverly & Maze mix with some Sir Charles or Southern Soul . Well , if your reading spend some time on those lower choices and how the Timing and DSR1 and speaker choice can help .
    Thanks Again " Ol Man 62 " ..

Your best choice in my opinion for a drop in fit in the lowers will be the hertz Neo sx 165 but you will not get mid bass out of them . It really hard to get mid bass from lowers because they are so small ( the bigger the air space the more bass )

Thanks for this Carlos. I have the Boss kit. Grills are solid and look sharp. The 6x9s handle the 100 watts per channel from the RF 400 amp just fine and actually sound decent. I adjusted the fader on my xav7000 to balance them with the Mmats in the fairing and things are good for now.
