The ruler tip was so helpful! Little tip in case anyone runs into the same issue I did: I did not have a View tab along the top. However I was able to go to File- Show Rulers.

This was perfect for figuring out what to do, thank you! However, the height of the banner currently doesn't match what you list in your video. When I used the 423px it was too tall and I had to reduce it down for everything to show properly. I just adjusted my ruler lines based on what the TH-cam system was showing and it worked great.
3:15 Magneta Edit: This is my second TH-cam channel and my first comment using this TH-cam channel. Edit: A little outdated (but still relevant) because they no longer have the view because file and view were combined into one.

This was perfect! Thanks so much. For some people, you won't be able to find the 'View' button in Canva. You have to Click on 'File' and then 'Show Rulers'

You can do it! Check out our other videos about TH-cam to get other tips on creating content and growing your audience. As far as getting over your fear, just record a video (any video). It could be a 1-2 minute video telling people what your channel is going to be about. Record the video, edit the video and if you're not happy with it, delete it.. No one is forcing you to upload it to TH-cam if you aren't happy with it. After going through this process, you'll feel much more comfortable when it comes time to record your 2nd video.
5:18 where is the remove the bg?? I have Canva the free version and I don't see it. I also can't find view and the rulers you're using at 4:21. Pls let me know, thanks!
@@TheFigCo I figured it out indeed, but in your video it was as if you did something in the editor to remove the background. Maybe it's a tip to tell people what you're doing and where you are doing it? And where are the rulers?
Good questions. Both are the same aspect ratio, that might be the minimum dimensions you can use for your banner. If you follow the instructions, you’ll banner will be shown properly.
Very informative video for anyone who does not have Photoshop or other design program. Really straightforward and well explained, going to pass this info. on to my young niece who will love this!

You can use the website remove.bg to remove the background and rulers are now in the file menu
