another combo, starting from scarecrow d33, which is low high string,1 the high launches and the low doesn't have to hit, full combo is 75 dmg scarecrowd33, cancel scarecrow (hold up, uf, ub, or db), ff2, df1, f23 cancel, b2 : 1+2 also you can use d43 as a launcher for the combo that was displayed for tarantula 2 at 2:54 im new to tekken and not sure how to notate combos, let me know how to fix it if somethings off. also how should i say that the cancel after f23 is a move that you have to hold back to do?
Btw for heat dash combos, instead do uf1, 3 whatever BnB combo you want. Does more damage Edit: For the first two heat combos you did in this video specifically
She literally need some buff on her damage I hope They bring back her mix up move on her stances & her self damage is removed cuz is make her too weak to do some combo
Recent patch greatly reduced her self damage. You barely notice it now and she recovers it alot faster. This video was done before that. I agree she needs damage buffs and her tarantula 3 into mantis transition back. She needs her mid and low strings added back to her scarecrow stance too. She really has no mixup options from it now.
The low damage on her combos doesnt bother me that much, its her frame data on her moves that sucks. Some of her moves are super unsafe on block or heavily minus on block for little reward and even on hit on some of her moves shes minus or gives little frame adv like 3 on hit, if you dont transition to SCR youre only +1. SCR b+1+2, a low poke is -17 on block, why? She also has super slow as moves that has no use like df 2+3 has a +30 frame startup and is minus on block.
@@pktoasty2470Yeah the damage is alot less and almost bareley noticeable once she follows up with hits in combos etc. Her parry also barely hurts her on activation so it is much more useful now for defense. The mechanic still makes no sense for her and has no trade off to it but its a step in the right direction. She should be able to stock the damage to do more damage herself or something per round. It is a silly gimmick to make it seem like using Azazel has to drain her life to use his powers. I get it that in the lore she did pass out from him taking over her more but they tried to make it too realistic in her gameplay. It's crazy it took them over 2 months to do something and realize the self damage was ridiculous but now she has a quote "unintended" backdash nerf added on to her they said they will patch out soon. Just when she got some relief that happens. Zafina can't catch a break in Tekken 8 lol.

Her self inflicted damage is an after thought from the deves to add "uniqueness" and I hate it. It's so poorly designed. In a typical game, self inflicted damages is often used as a cost for generally OP moves/skills to limit spamability. This turns the character into a high risk high reward archetype. E.g., Maybe they can have a 17f unblockable launcher at the cost of quarter of her life. Or a 13f wall splatting guard break that cost the same amount of health. Or maybe a mid launching power crush that takes away all her remaining recoverable health.
Unlike Jun who inflicts selfdamage, Zafina has no way to heal herself in neutral. I don't know why they would have her damage herself if she can't heal herself. They also need to revert some of her counter hits and punishment back to the way it was in T7.
I don't mind it I nearly feel the damage and it's healed, but the real problem is at what cost she take that damage ? The trade isn't fair, she is on the bottom 5
She got nerfed since Tekken 7 and needs a little more touching up, even after the Health Drain buff. But she was unpopular in previous games too. If I had to bet, it’s because she’s a stance character and she’s not as widely seen as attractive like the other women in the cast. The stances also weird people out, too, generally. Makes it easy to tell who actually likes the character
@@RetroWrathX13B Yeah sadly I do feel Zafina has historically been less appealable to most players due to her odd/ unique stances and general gameplay but I embraced all of those which is why she became my main in T7 when she got relased in S3. Even though Zafina was strong and the best version of herself in T7 she still was unpopular and overshadowed by more favorable DLC characters with more appealing designs and gameplay like Leroy, Lidia, Fahkumram and Kunimitsu at the time. She only really got noticed mostly because of Arslan Ash use of her in tournament scene. I still feel they punished her with so many nerfs due to him winning so much with her though which I think was unfair to loyal/ enthusiast Zafina players like myself who genuienely appreciate her character design and gameplay and not for tier reasons.
@@brentthompson1607 Anna required hard reads on mix-ups with most of her important moves being launch punishable. I’ve been in calls with newcomers who heard “high risk” and “gambler character” and cut it at that. Zafina is relatively simple, the problem is either people look at the stances and over think it, or they’re just put off by her animations

She does less damage to herself now and recovers it back faster after recent patch. This video was made before this fix went in by the damage I see.
