Just walked it through... Such a great game! I nearly cried at the end. I played through many new and old games, but this is one of those that I enjoyed the most. Thanks to the developers for such an adventure
That would be great. Especially if they got Limahl to record a new version with the London Symphony Orchestra as back up. After seeing this new trailer, I'm actually thinking that maybe Trico will survive after all. It almost looks like the game will have a ending similar to "How To Train Your Dragon". After the boy & Trico escape the ancient ruins, they fly to the boys village & everyone sees that this species can co-exist with humans if just given a little love. That just might be how the game will end. But I'm keeping my tissue next to me just in case. lol
Kill A Vivisector Agreed. If a game or movie or book can move you emotionally, for me that means it's achieved something...this game tugs and pulls in so many directions. For all those people that criticise the game, I don't think they have sat down and thought about the thousands of hours of work that's gone into creating this. Glad you enjoyed it.
They might end up being tears of joy. The more I study this trailer, the more convinced I become that Trico isn't going to die. Fumito Ueda knows that everyone is expecting Trico to die. Maybe something different will happen. Maybe we won't know exactly what happens to Trico. But that Trico skelton lying out in the desert landscape might prove otherwise. Perhaps Trico & the boy make it to the top of that tallest tower & Trico just flies away. Leaving the boy all alone despite everything the two of them have been through. I guess that would still be a sad ending, but not as sad as seeing Trico die in a very brutal cut scene. I guess we will knowthe answer by this time next week. lol
When my grandma got me this game last Christmas I SCREAMED. I was screaming and crying in front of my entire family because she got me a PS4 and The Last Guardian BOTH for Christmas. And TLG released 3 days after my birthday, so Christmas last year was officially the best day of my life.
Every time I see a trailer for this game, my eyes get misty. Must be a combination of the music, art style, direction and legacy this game has to offer. Can't wait for next week. Gonna be the next Playstation masterpiece.

It's so true. Nintendo & Microsoft have a hit once in a while with an exclusive, but nothing compared to all the exclusives that are loved & admired by SONY's fan base. I think "The Last Guardian" will be a huge success. It took about 10 years to make. And 10 years from now, people will still be playing it & talking about it. lol
steveothehulk I'm already on my 3rd play through. Each time I've discovered new areas that I didn't explore the previous time. I've even found a few hidden barrels that aren't even listed in the "full barrel count" videos that I've seen posted. I'm getting confident enough now to say that I think I just might earn all 24 trophy's by the time I'm ready to give this game a rest......which won't be anytime soon. lol
It is almost here! This trailer almost brought a tear to my eye. I feel like it won't impress a lot of people and will probably be meh to a lot of people, but I can see all the love and care that went into this game. And to finish it despite all the road bumps makes me feel like this is something the devs wanted to make even if they lost money along the way. They took a huge risk. I can't wait to play this awesomeness!!
yeah but it's the same basic premise. You get to upgrade your weapons and unlock perks as you kill more enemies. Also, the frag grenades look exactly the same in both games.
The music in this game is just incredible. Quite possibly the most moving soundtrack I have ever heard for a game. The game is wonderful too. Left me in tears by the end of it.

Square released FFX remastered for the PS3 and then re-remastered for the PS4, for some reason. Don't loose hope, perhaps they eventually port it again.
It could be easy transition, given it's already been remastered on the ps3. So not much will have change, expect for a price drop and probably a cheap psn release.

emm 12 hours is good , i was expecting 4-6 o_O !and i'm sure this game won't have a big replayablity value since it's mostly a puzzle game unlike shadow of the colossus , TMK Tanner he means replaying the game more times with different approaches / choices like Witcher3 or a Stealth game etc
If one single playthrough is an awesome experience, I don't need replay value. People pay up to 100$ for a bungie jump, and there is no replay value in that. If a game is designed around multiple playthroughs, it's great, but it doesn't have to be, especially when there are hundreds of other games trying to get my attention ^.^"

Whenever this world gets too dark and malicious for my liking, I think of being this boy with Trico and playing through this game of life with it. I suddenly feel a lot better venturing through this darkness.
Just beat it (took me about 10 hours). Team ICO now have 3 masterpieces under their belt. The final few sections in the game were awesome. Make sure to watch the credits till the end. ;)

This could just be me "not wanting the dog to die" but I almost think these guys have enough nuance to not kill Trico at the end, but instead seriously pull on our heart strings the whole way through.

Or they do what they did with Agro. What I liked about Argo was that she was never a huge part of the story, just transport, but I feel in love with her anyway. So when that bit happens, it was so sad and unexpected. But here they are putting ALL the focus on these two characters, so I don't think it will have the same effect. (I'm just saying different, not worse)
