    A portion of 1 orange.
    1 medium-sized orange (200 grams)

    To begin with, you need to wash the oranges well, dry them with paper towels and cut them into circles about half a centimeter thick.
    In a small saucepan, immerse the circles in boiling water for a few minutes. This is necessary so that all the bitterness comes out of the orange (repeat 2-3 times). Then take the orange circles out of the water, spread them on a paper towel, wait for them to dry a little. You can help the process by blotting the moisture with napkins.
    Place the oranges in a wide dish (a frying pan may be suitable), cover with sugar and cover with water. Dissolve the sugar with water over medium heat, bring to a boil, reduce the heat to a minimum and cook the oranges with the lid open. During this time, the oranges should become slightly transparent.
    Then increase the temperature until the water begins to boil. And cook for another 15-20 minutes. The syrup will decrease in quantity and begin to caramelize (thicken).
    Take out the oranges with a slotted spoon and let the syrup drain. Caramelized oranges are ready! Cool the finished oranges and glaze with chocolate. To do this, melt the chocolate in a water bath (add a little milk) and dip the oranges halfway into the melted chocolate. Bon appetit!
