There I was holding my breath again when you started in with the black. Now I understand you need it to give the colored “gasses” their transparency. It turned out SO GOOD!!
I agree with those who say this isn't a step by step tutorial. Even though all your videos are hypnotising I feel like a beginner like me doesn't get much information on what techniques they're supposed to use for similar result. 🥺 That said, you're a wonderful artist and I can't wait to see more of your art! 💓
This is amazing! It really helped me paint a galaxy, which I can normally only do with water colour, not acrylic. This video really helped me become comfortable with painting acrylic galaxies as well. Thanks!
it looks amazing but I don't think this is a tutorial you are just saying what you are using but no explanation if you could make one explanation what you are doing and giving a little more detail how things what would be great
How!? How do I add the black space back in like this? How do I make it look transparent like this? So it doesn't look like black on top but blended in properly? Are you thinning it out? Using water? Letting it dry or going straight in? Do i add some more color around the black after adding the black? What brush kinda brush strokes are you doing? So many questions!
I saw that when I went to Etsy and found references to your work-references because they were sold out of all your items!!! Good for you!!! But I really liked what I saw!
I love the fact that you use your fingers to paint too. I'm working on a painting for my Meme (she's in the hospital right now) ... the nebula idea will be the background for her painting. I can't really do anything for her right now but I thought a painting might cheer her up :) I found your video while looking for some ideas with the layering of paint. Thank you for this! :D
Lanchen oh I didn’t think you were still checking comments on this video! I actually used your method today and posted it. It’s the best galaxy I’ve done so far, hands down!
This is hella dope you're the only person I watch tutorials for galaxies but I wish they were more real time and not fast forward. So many things I want to know.
@@lanchendesigns I should have watched that before I commented lmao! I totally get it. I literally felt like that was the reason but I'm always running into problems in my pieces and I go to yours for the solution. I never want to recreate the exact piece. I want it to be my own. But I do definitely get my inspiration from your videos and your art.
Haha nooo it’s totally fine. I didn’t expect for you to see it but it’s just much easier to have a video explain 😅 if you ever have any questions tho feel free to DM me 💙
Gonna try this as a background for an elwire neon sign.... Hope it looks as good as yours does. Thx 4 the video. Edit: 3 non consecutive hrs later....omg I love. Ab to get to the black after color then more blues etc...not knowing what i am doing i am very impressed so far
Hey Lanchen, I love your art! I'm just wondering if you can make a step by step acrylic galaxy tutorial in real time. This is just too fast and too hard to follow as a beginner painter. Id like to know exactly how your moving each brush, how much water your adding if ever. even if its not a tutorial, just a real time painting would be a huge help and super effective for learning the brush movements and blending of paint.
Hey there!! I have videos on my blending techniques on my channel. Unfortunately I don't do tutorials anymore but if you ever have any specific questions feel free to dm me on IG @LANCHENDESIGNS
WOW! That is so cool painting!! And btw is it better to blend the colors with the black when you start painting or paint the colors on the black after painting the black?
Holy 🐮 a tutorial without words! I can easily copy your hand movements and brush types and colors, I love the option to not use slow movements that drag on forever, I hate those kinds of tutorials they’re way to slow-paced for me
I was just watching another younger guy doing a nebula painting, Sometimes it's cool to have a really hard edge to a cloud with extreme light right next to it!
I love the outcome but idk what you’re doing lol. You’re saying the colors you’re using but am I supposed to use water? How do I blend the colors as you did? What brush do I use? How do I get the colors to look blended like yours? Just so many questions with no answers.
I liked watching the sped-up black acrylic touch-ups drying

Just do exactly what she is showing you how to do.
I would definitely like to see how u splashed the stars. This looks awesome!!
You can use the toothbrush technique, or dip a brush in white paint and tap it gently over the painting.
This is amazing! It really helped me paint a galaxy, which I can normally only do with water colour, not acrylic. This video really helped me become comfortable with painting acrylic galaxies as well. Thanks!
Oh that is so exciting to hear!!! Now you could be a master at both mediums🥰🥰

AHHH!! I am so happy to hear that you've created your own and like it ! 🥰
Thanks for the tutorial..Love this video! Do you add water to the colors ?
Any advice for doing this on a way smaller scale, like on miniatures?
It feels very easy to go overboard on the white and black on a small scale.
I love galaxy sooo much!

Enjoyed this video. Was the black base dry when you began painting the blues and pink?
Yes each layer Has to be dry before you begin to paint :)

Super 👍👍👍
Brilliant👌 how did u get the blue hue around the stars?
No specific way just using a detail brush
Would you say it’s easier to buy black canvases or paint them black?
Beautiful work 🥰❤️
thank you!!
wow, this is awesome!!! thanks!
Glad you like it!
Whe. Doing the white highlight are you slightly wetting your brush? Also the big fluffy brushes you use where can I get them they are not linked
yes the white is slight wet, and the brushes are in my amazon shop below! the round bristles brushes
Best video I've seen.
Yours looks divine. Mine looks like I sneezed.
haha omg nooo im sure its great!
Excellent Congratulations
I have fabric paint. Can I get a translucent look by just sponging it on thinly, or do I need an acrylic medium?
oh yes fabric paint wouldn't have the same effect as acrylic paint. now if you are working on fabric your fabric paint will work well
Increíble, gracias
Amazing!!!!
