All I have to say is Tony Dorsett has the all-time record that can never be taken away. Unlike some of those others runs, players had a chance to catch him and didn't. I watched that piece of history on live MNF.

I was watching it on Monday Night Football with 3 Cowboys fans, and the 3 of them were jumping up and down, and then Vikings won the game. Tony Dorsett was a GREAT, GREAT running back.
Back when the game, was a game and enjoyable to watch. I haven't watched an NFL game in 4 years, even Super or Pro Bowls. Don't miss it. Very nice clips.
All of these guys runs were amazing and exciting. However, if you watch closely, Dorsett’s initial burst through the middle of the defensive line was amazingly quick. In my humble opinion, it’s what really set his run apart from the rest of the other fantastic runs.
Bill Cenne - It's strange how I remember this set up. The punter for the Vikings had one hell of a punt to pin Dallas deep. The ball just bounced around the one inch line and then went out of bounds. The very next play, Tony did this.
On Dec 6, 2018 Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry scored on a 99-yard touchdown carry during the second quarter, dishing out three defender-shedding stiff-arms while trudging his way to what was arguably the most incredible touchdown of the season.
Tony Dorsett STILL holds the record. 99 1/2 yards. I watched that game and the ball was actually placed JUST over the goal line, like the 1 foot line. Heckof run.
Dorsett has a 90 plus yard TD a 80 plus yard TD a 70 yard plus TD and a 60 plus yard TD . I believe he is the only RB with this record. The most underrated RB ever. Pure class

Great video. Barry Sanders had a lot of great runs, he was incredibly quick but not incredibly fast in a long sprint. He got caught on his 2 longest runs of 84 & 85yrds. Many DB's would catch him after 50 or 60yrds. The DB who caught Bo Jackson from behind on his 88yrd run: Rod Jones was an all American track star in college. Bo was exhausted at the end, he had probably ran around 120yrds on that play.

250 pounds and out running 185 pound d backs!!!
Bo was The Greatest Athlete ever to exist!!!
Garrison Hearst really had to fight for every yard…. amazing run!
O.J. knifing though the defense. Can’t lay a glove on him.
Galloping like a bronc, o man.
🤔😂😂
Time to add derrick henry vs the jags
Great post. Thanks.
Amazed that Barry Sanders never had a 90+ yard run. Two 80+ yarders in a single game, but 82 was the career long.
85 yards in 1994 against Tampa bay. He lost his shoe
Never got the blocking.
He ran farther than that to gain 2yds.
Barry was elusive but not fast in a long run. Which made what he did in his short career even more amazing.
Lol, that Hearst run was Beastly.
I have to tell you that the Titans radio announcer is the best. Every time a Titan touchdown is made, he yells in excitement,TOUCHDOWN TITANS!
Clearly remember Tony Dorsett 99.5 yards!!👍
Rich Moore 99.99 lol😎😎
Rich Moore Me toooooo👍 Back when Football was still wholesome and real! The original Americas team was the best era in NFL HISTORY
Rich Moore Nah Robert Bailey of the Rams with that 103
I remember it too, on Thanksgiving Day of 1987.The Vikings still won the game.
@@GGE47 Dorsett's run was on Monday Night Football in January 1983.
great video
Who knows Bo ? I know if he hadn't got injured he would have set records that would never be broken.
Cox Gary lol, xx
Thanks for playing the play-by-play and not ruining it with terrible music.
Bo Jackson was nasty! That speed combined with that power. I mean shit, look at the dudes legs, he was jacked!
A not-to-be-repeated phenom. He was like someone crossed Earl Campbell with Usain Bolt.
He was one of the most gifted athletes we'll ever see. If he hadn't been quite so fast, he wouldn't have gotten hurt, and who knows what he would have been capable of achieving?
Tyler Schroeder im mini Bo Jackson thats what they used to call me lol..
These speedsters make everyone else seem so slow. So exciting to watch
That Hershel Walker run, and that's about as excited as you'll ever hear Pat Summerall get.
Love the Dorsett run...and a sweet run from Garrison Hearst. 3 for Bo:) and 3 against the Jets D:(
Garrison Hearst's run deserves more credit than it gets.If Herschel Walker played behind the same line Emmitt Smith ran behind who knows how his career could have gone who else has 90 yards plays rushing (1)receiving(1) returning(2)
Bo KNOW how to run for 90+ yard runs from scrimmage!!!
Would have been the BEST EVER!!
How does this video have 362 dislikes? This is a great compilation.
They forgot AL Bundy scored 4 touchdown's in a single game
Right
Al Bundy was a fictional character that was portrayed by Ed O'Neill and not an actual player.
Yay a raider one :D
walker had the biggest shoulder pads in the league
he must have had a delusion that he was Joan Crawford.
@@tomloft2000 Actually, the pads they wear now look more like Joan Crawford's pads. You can barely see them. Back in the day, they all word large shoulder pads.
Oh man, I remember watching that Ahman Green run against the Broncos in Lambeau! That was so cool watching in person!
2:28 Tony Dorsett
Great run homeboy Wilbert Montgomery
BO JACKSON WAS SO FAST GREATEST ATHLETE IVE EVER SEEN PLAY
Looking out My
Best game I ever saw was Barry Sanders, Lions in Tampa Bay. He had 3 TD runs each over 70 yards, in one game. Some great running backs would still only have 1 or 2 really long TD runs. Some would have 1 per season. Barry would have 1 pr game, and handfuls each season. That game in Tampa was epic. GOAT
adrian peterson had a 90 yarder last season at age 32
So was walker he also had 90 yard reception and kick return
That run by Hearst was what I was looking to see, someone getting trucked or thrown to the ground
I saw that game it was an amazing run he bulldozed for that 96 yard run
And there goes Bo, and nobody catches Bo
drakg002 one did #25 for tha Bengals
