Such a delight!!! Just turned five years old the previous month in January of 1959. I can bet ya buttons that we, as a family, were cuddled up in our warm, farm home Living Room on a Saturday night watching this show!!! Thanks so much for bringing nostalgic smiles to this former farmer boy's face and heart!!!! ;o)
I was 23 years old, in the Army and stationed in Germany, so I missed this show. I do remember my Army buddies talking about the Lawrence Welk show and how they enjoyed it when they back home. Such a legacy!
🤍OH THANK YOU FOR POSTING THESE BLK/WHITE PROGRAMS. THEY REALLY ARE A LEARNING EXPERIENCE..GREAT TALENT..YOU HAD THERE AND STILL HAVE!!! WOULDN'T IT BE NICE, IF THE NEW TALENT, COULD BE PRESENTED?
Thanks so much for posting this show. Pete Fountain was amazing! I was surprised that the show's name in the credits was "The Plymouth Show" immediately after which appeared "starring Lawrence Welk". I wonder if that was the title for the entire season.

47:17 yeah boy such a deal. 2 door post, blackwall tires, most likely poverty hub caps, no radio, maybe a heater, 3 speed and a 230 ci flat head 6. Also armstrong steering and manual brakes. But you could afford a Plymouth!
I'm 57 and will never get tired of these programs.

In the car radio opening sequence, the first 'radio guy' and the Sportscaster announcers are Mel Blanc.

Thanks for the upload. Would you happen to have Themes From The Classics from 1973, if you do, do you think you can upload it next Saturday?
