Another tidbit of history....the area where you were riding the bicycle on the west side of the Trinity River bottom....in the later 1920's early 30's it was a Depression Era encampment where poorer people lived...Clyde Barrow's family moved there from Ellis County near Ennis when Clyde was a boy...then his dad later acquired a service station/ home a mile or so west of there at 2221 Singleton Blvd...that's where he lived when he met Bonnie, who lived a few miles west of that in what was called Cement City....the Barrow building is still standing there....Bonnie's school/high school is still out west on Chalk Hill Rd
I think the nice folks at Hutchins BBQ in Frisco and McKinney would dispute your "King of Dallas Que" statement Chet....I'd love to see a BBQ off...between Hutchins and Pecan Lodge! Include Goldee's and Cattleack too!
I love Dallas, I’ve lived in Allen for many years and Pano, Richardson, Dallas is where I have precious memories with my friends ❤ I’m moving soon, so I’ll miss you Dallas 😢
That tuff, go to place like Dallas …. Possibilities are endless. I think so close to cake bar for dessert or emporium pies around the corner from pecan lodge
PECAN LODGE is good but way overrated..thats more for tourists chasing the hype..locals know that the best BBQ in dallas area is HUTCHINS BBQ in frisco
As a native Dallasite, I LOVE my city, especially Trinty Groves and Bishop Arts. Thanks for the visit young man 🙂
Keep Dallas weird

Aw I was really hoping that you’d go to Babe’s chicken house. my favorite place for the best fried chicken… the sides… ugh 😩… chef’s kiss 🤌🏼💋
Check out Sons of Herman’s Hall, 3414 Elm. Thursday night Campfire Jam in one of the most haunted places in Dallas.
Great episode
Nice video
Rest in Peace Chicken Scratch. Gone too soon.
I just looked it up and see that it's permanently closed ☹️
What year was this filmed? I’m seeing several missing building in the skyline. I’m guessing pre 2018??
Check the caption. All the details are there. And Dallas has def grown.
Sad the The Foundry/Chicken Scratch closed....
Doing nothing is better than being busy doing nothing.
My City Tha Triple D
What kind of a hat are you wearing?
i think chet should return to burnet
Agree
Pecan Lodge and Cattleack have too heavy of a smoke. It’s good but certainly not best
From a Houstonian’s perspective (born in ‘Big-D’)…..ehhhh
PECAN LODGE is good but way overrated..thats more for tourists chasing the hype..locals know that the best BBQ in dallas area is HUTCHINS BBQ in frisco
So the best bbq is not technically in Dallas?
Love deep Ellen but really gone downhill last couple years
More like last couple decades. Deep Ellum peaked in the 90’s.
Dallas ain't Texas.
But it is
It’s massive. It’s the metropolis of the world
@@ramencurry6672lmao 🤣. Dude Houston
