Extra Note: My Aspen exposures pretty much matched my Portland ones.
I used to play out side pick up basket ball games with Mark Gustafson at Will Vinton Studios when I moved to Portland. A few years back he won the Animated Feature Oscar with Guillermo del Toro... Pinocchio.
His buddy Hal Hickel who usually was my opponent in those basket ball games... When he went to pick up his Oscar for Special Effect on Pirates of the Caribbean ... on the screens behind him were effects done by Aspen's/Canada's... Ivan DeWolf.
Our gig just before COVID... A motion comic sound track for a Universal franchise was completely all... Tai Vare! Sure was fun working with some one from my other life. Thanks Tai!
This is the crazy circle that is my Aspen and Portland lives. They have both inspired me in so many ways. This book Growing Up Aspen - Adventures of the Unsupervised is my thank you to one of those two cities.

Since the sixties, I have always been inspired by the “Art of Rock”. The images and artists are unique. Originally intended for inexpensive promotional devices, rock posters evolved into extraordinary visual equivalents of the music they advertise. The posters themselves are created by many different artists. Some of them are silk-screens and signed by the artist. Some of them are “show editions”, rare and no longer in print.
Vintage movie and stone lithograph posters are unique and produced from 1900-1960. All of the posters are embellished with imported Swarovski crystals, diamond dust, and/or hand cut paper. Judy Haas lives and works in Telluride. She has been a professional artist since 1985, showing her work nationally and internationally. She is well known for her colorful handmade pastel drawings of trout. Her mediums include pastel on paper, ceramics, computer generated fractals, mixed media prints and projects. She has illustrated two books, Being a Mother & The Grace of Mary.
She participated in the Art in the Embassies program and many companies including Patagonia, The Nature Company and Andrews McMeel have used her images. She has shown her work at Alexander Gallery in New York, Beadleston Gallery in New York and London, Meredith Long Gallery in Houston, American Museum of Flyfishing in New Hampshire, and many galleries in Sun Valley, Vail, Aspen and Telluride.
