I found your video very useful. As a Digital Marketing Consultant walking a couple of musicians through the steps of establishing an authentic presence online, we can use what you've explained here as our guide to developing their individual brands. So, thank you.
Thank you for this concise description of both the steps and critical components of branding. I'm a fine artist who has an increasing following but I need to start paying serious attention to my branding and audience going forward.
My problem is applying my story and who I am now to a visual concept in a brand. I can't wrap my head around telling my story any other way than through lyrics I struggle to put it into a visual idea
I find this info very theoretical. Like at 4:15 I wish you would have come up with examples - perhaps of other artists. Can you make a video with a practical step and examples? Thanks :)
Sure, after taking years to gain musical skills, practice, practice, practice, until you master your instrument and/or learn the discipline of commercial songwriting, you simply move on to the disciplines of mastering the business side of a chaotic, difficult to comprehend industry...just lake that. Sure!
is it possible to do a video for us classical musicians? All of us are performing and teaching on a really high level, but most of us don’t work in an orchestra and need to brand themselves as a “hire up musician” concept - meaning, we are highly skilled, but need a clearer direction where should we focus our efforts - any tips? How does it looks like, what is written on the website, do we need to be putting new music frequently etc.I personally think, many of us would greatly benefit. Lovely video, already used some tips 👌
I really really miss examples. What do you talk about? Sounds really interesting but I’m not sure. I fully understand. Examples of artists that you have work with and showing “before and after“ would be really good.
This is a large topic, and there are many aspects and strategies, but a good starting place is the existing audiences of other artists. Look for artists that will likely have an audience who will be interested in your music as well. You can then consider which of these artists are slightly ahead of you with their success, as they will be operating in areas of the industry that you are aiming for, such as support shows, promoters, labels, etc. All the best.
That's a very difficult question to answer properly. There is too much to explain and consider in a short message. But also, any answer will need to reflect your cicumstances, talent, current progress and vision. Sorry I cannot give you a clear answer. We do provide private 1-2-1 coaching and teaching if you want to book a session, I would be happy to help you with a direction to move forwards and give you a pathway to get there. It's what we help artist clients with every day. email me for a booking or if you have a more specific question that I might be able to answer for you. hello@theartistguides.net

Color Theory and aesthetics will be your friend when it comes to visual branding?
A story has a setting. Start there.

Does anyone do headspace? This guy sounds like the guy (I think his name is Andy). Calming tone
Not sure who this Andy guy is, but I promise it's not me. I'm intrigued now though. I may have to look him up, haha!

When you’re in the start of your music career and you’re creating because of experiment how you build all that? By making music as much as possible?
