Great review. I bought a new 2021 diesel in October 2020 and now have 39700 miles with no issues. I’m also still waiting on a fuel pump. I changed my oil myself for the first time last week and got a low oil pressure warning. I read something in the Gladiator forum and loosened the filter then made sure it was torqued to at least 18 lbs and this fixed the problem. I’m also getting about 25 mpg. I love this vehicle and will keep it for awhile. Keep those reviews coming.
Honest review - thanks. 15K on a 2023 diesel Willys - driving in Colorado and the mountains. No complaints - and I have truly enjoyed owning it. Banks P tuner changes the engine from soggy to what it really should be: responsive and useful. Odd - I am using less DEF with more miles as well. ✌
Thanks for watching! love to hear it, they are great vehicles. I keep hearing that about the tuner, I want to do it but I'm worried about the warranty implications.
@@LifeOutdoors I was as well. Two things: it doesn't leave a footprint in the ECU, and it won't allow the engine to exceed any design safety specs. Happy wheeling!
@@LifeOutdoors I installed the Banks Derringer and pedal monster and it is a totally diff vehicle. however I have had it to go into a 50 mph limp mode twice...does anyone know anything about that? i can turn jeep off and back on and it will clear it.
Good video, man. Straight to the point. I have a diesel Colorado and stumbled across this and gave it a watch just to see if similar issues were popping up between manufacturers. Sucks about the pitman arm. Glad it was a relatively quick fix.
I appreciate that! I was looking at those colorados too when I was first on the hunt for a mid size diesel truck but weve been a Jeep family so I stuck to what I know. Yeah the pitman arm was a bummer but at least it was just that and not anything up into the steering column! Thanks for watching and love the channel name.
@@LifeOutdoorsfor sure! Mine is coming up on 40K, Overland Ecodiesel with no issues. The fuel pump recall was done already, but I replace fuel filter around 4k or 5k (overkill yes) and same for oil change. I'm averging 16k a year can't complain. This ride is awesome
@@Coyote5555 Man idk how everyone is already getting these fuel pumps. I need to get on my dealerships nice list or something lol Happy to hear that things are good! I love it too
@@LifeOutdoors ah yes, I called Jeep directly to play dumb and ask about it since I know the are available now...gave them my vin, and they promptly asked for my preferred dealer, they connected me to the dealership, made appt. fixed try it who knows
Congrats on the fuel pump!! Haha I still do not have mine but I called Stellantis and now all of a sudden I’m 2nd on the list for the part at my local dealer… so it should come soon!
Awesome vids man, love 'em. You got me back at your "Bald Eagle!" video. My wife and I are looking at purchasing a used gladiator. What are your thoughts on eco-diesel vs gas? Have you had any issues with the sensors or going into limp mode? And I know it's a painful subject, but... what's your now longer experience with DEF? Thanks again for your efforts and time putting out your content.
haha hey well I'm glad you thought that was funny and stuck around for the next iteration! I would say if you're looking for that truck feel then go with the diesel but if you want cheaper ownership overall go with the gas. I just always thought the 3.6 gasser was underpowered for my wrangler so I avoided the gas model when I bought the gladiator and the 3.0 diesel feels much more powerful and torque'y. No sensor or limp mode issues so far! And the DEF fluid is lasting much longer now which is great and I have a local DEF pump that simplifies the process so its not as much of a sore issue any more. Thanks for watching!
I have a jt rubicon diesel and I bent my pitman arm too. I replaced it along with the tierod and drag link. I hit a rock on the trail, and only the pitman arm got bent
I have a 2020 jeep gladiator with the v6 only major problem with 60k miles is the heater hose exploding which has to do with well air in my system easy fix but I couldn’t drive it for a few days bc of it but no major problem so far
Don't be to depressed about the rear light, a friend had a Lincoln Navigator get water intrusion into the rear LED lights and it was over 3k in repair.
My 2022 model has 55k miles on it. Zero problems so far. I drove it all the way to the Arctic Ocean and back.
I love to hear that!! Sounds like some epic adventures. I beat mine up pretty good so very happy with how it’s doing overall. jeep on 🤟🏼

@@battleboy2138 Hmm that sounds pretty concerning. You should reach out to Banks, they should warranty that or be able to diagnose the issue.
I got my fuel pump😁. 22 JLURD 28,000 miles..GDE tune, no problems with jeep yet and I love it. Great vid review. Keep em coming.
You got your fuel pump?! I thought that was a mythical part that would never be available 😂 thanks for watching! 50K coming in the next couple months

Pro tip! I will 100% give this a shot. Thanks for the comment!
I just got my fuel pump in December. Finally! I, too, was worried that it would go out especially in the desert. I hope you have yours by now.

Best Air Compressor setup is the Kraken. I have a dual ARB on a Kraken under seat mount. Runs great. Zero issues. Was pretty much plug and play.
Ive seen that setup! I dont air down near enough to make it worth my money but it looks like it would be killer for those who get out all the time!
Check the plug connector on the light. Mine was loose.
Interesting, I'll have to give that a look! although it has been working well for the last 6 months or so now.

Interesting! Another bent pitman arm. I wonder if that is a planned failure point to save more expensive components?
pls make more vids on the gladi love this build 🙏

Well thats not the worst problem to have! Glad to hear it's been smooth driving.
I'm also still waiting for the fuel pump. It's been like 2 months since my dealership ordered it.
It might never come 😂🤣

Holy crap.... I would not be paying that 😂
Took me a while to get use to the steering they are much different, I came from a ram rebel! Mines still new 514 miles as of today lol
Congrats on the new wheels! its definitely a more rugged steering system than a ram but they are such fun vehicles you're gonna love it.
I just did your tire rotate and looked your channel up bro
Haha heck yeah thanks dude 🤘🏼😂
They should keep manufacturing diesel
Couldn't agree more!
25,000 on mine - 0 issues but I’m thinking about that pump every time out 😂
Always in the back of my mind 😂
Your truck changes color! What color is it?
haha getting the color grade right on this truck is impossible! It's Sting Gray but depending on the lighting it pulls out some blues or greens.
