- 11/22/2008 - Rapper MC Breed has passed away in his sleep at the age of 37. MC Breeds real name was Eric Breed, and he recorded 13 albums from 1991 - 2001. His biggest solo hit was Aint No Future in Yo Frontin which peaked at #66 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Gotta Get Mine which featured 2Pac hit #6 on the rap singles chart. Our thoughts go out the Breeds family and friends.

After his early success with the 1991 gold-selling single[citation needed] "Ain't No Future In Yo' Frontin" featuring samples from "Funky Worm" by the Ohio Players and "More Bounce to the Ounce" by Zapp.
On April 2, 2008, Breed was arrested in Flint, Michigan after repeatedly failing to keep up his child support payments. For at least 60 days, Breed has to spend behind bars. He will need to raise $18,000 in cash for bail
