I find it odd and almost cringe-worthy that unlike the rest, the origin (country) of Peter Mabeo (an internationally acclaimed BOTSWANA furniture designer/manufacturer) who actually manufactures the furniture in Botswana was omitted!
I think you're reading too much into it. Now that you mention it, I think maybe she wasn't sure what people from botswana are called (I'm not either) but I know it's not botswanean (or is it?). So for the sake of not coming off as offensive, she said African 🤷♀️. At the end of the day man, she supported his art and those of other african nationals.
