Connie B. its RAW seafood that one ought to avoid. Cooked fish especially salmon is perfectly fine and healthy for the babies.
Thank you for clearing this out. Where I grew up all doctors advised against seafood especially wild fish because most fish are exposed to mercury which can affect the development of a fetus.
I thought it was discouraged only in the first trimester
