  • How to on changing out the belts on your Toro AWD self propelled walk behind. It is slightly different from a front wheel drive or rear wheel drive Toro and my manual did not cover the belt replacement which generally is a wear maintenance item. Hope this video helps!

    Belts needed:
    Rear belt: Belt-V #115-4669
    Front belt: V-Belt #71-9450
(You can also go on Toro’s website and type in your model number to ensure you get the correct belts for you mower)
    Tools needed:
    13mm socket
    10mm socket
    Socket extension
    Ratchet
    10mm wrench (ratcheting recommended)
    Small square bit
Bit holder to use as an extension
Not necessary but a small cordless screwdriver
Disclaimer: Do so at your own risk, I assume no responsibility or liability for damage to your mower or injuries**

Thank you. Very informative. My problems was that the rear belt had slipped onto the same engine drive puller as the front belt. For anybody interested, the front belt goes on the lower position and the rear belt on the upper (nearest the blade) position.

Great tutorial! I did have issues with the square head screws. On both plates, the screw that was by itself stripped out and I had to drill it out. The other 2 on each plate came out without an issue. The replacement screw from Toro is $0.81, but $6 for shipping. Ill run with 2 on each plate for now!

Best video tutorial on the AWD belt replacement. Agreed with another user about the retention spring under the deck near the rear being a pain!!! Thank you!!!!

Great video my friend. I have been waiting on a video for this machine for 3-4 months now! Finally you came along and saved the day!!! You make it seem very easy. I will order the belts and give it a try. Thanks again for the vid.... I like the lawn striper kit you have on the back of your machine. What is the part # for that?

Toro 20601. Usually sell out each season so grab on while it’s in stock, oh and fill with fine sand

This is a great video, and I can't believe I found one for the exact mower I currently have. That being said, I don't think I feel comfortable doing the work myself. If it was just FWD or RWD, I might do it myself, but I just don't have the confidence I can do it without screwing something up. But thank you for posting this all the same.

It’s actually pretty easy once you start the process, but I agree, sometimes it’s better to pay a professional. Happy I could at least provide insight

@@THSeitz22 Thank you. I am actually still teetering on whether or not to just do it myself. It's hard to find anyone nearby who will do it, and the one guy I did find is kind of pricey, with a waiting period of over a month.

Great video, it helped a lot. The only reason to remove the blade if you didn't otherwise need to, would be to make the video a little bit clearer as to what you were doing around the blade pulley.

I had bought 2 of those the one with more hours needed blade adapter (woren pully) the newer one has a shield similar to rear belt shield covering front belt. Newer one had a blowen engine.

Does it matter on placement of belt on the pulley?

    • @THSeitz22
      @THSeitz22  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Not specifically, the side with the markings going on the outside, other than that, as long as its around the pulley wheel it should be fine
