- In for repair today is a vintage 80's Dual 606 turntable that the fine speed control has no adjustment at all. After a little troubleshooting and ordering a replacement part it is all better again. Vintage Stereo Repair. Thanks to HiFi Engine and Vinyl Engine for manuals and schematics.

It's not a vintage turntable without a K-Tel record. Brings back memories of when I was younger, taping friends' K-Tel compilation LP's. The good old days.
Once again, you completed a relatively routine repair (after some diagnosing) and saved it from landfill (hope the customer appreciates the fix!)

I've been struggling with a sony turntable where I can not get the potentiometers to move and properly adjust the speed. I have a feeling it isn't fixable and will only be good for parts now. Every time I stick the screwdriver in the hole, it seems to move something but when I check the speed it doesn't change.
Try some Deoxit D5 on the pots.

I also have Dual 606 , my issue is not speed but rather the tone arm cue.
I have spent many hours cleaning the old grease and lubricants , I have adjusted the arm connecting the cue to the tone arm with no success.
It just doesn't move at all ?
When I pull the cue arm to the up position it snaps back to the down position.
Any thoughts?

My brother acquired a Dual 506. The pitch has a belt that I think is worn out because it skips on the belt. Is the pitch damaged or is it the belt? The Dual 506 has two belts one for the platter, the other for the pitch. What say you, sir?
Great Video Thanks very much for sharing this info. I have a 606 that i am trying to access the guts to clean and lube And cant figure out how to get it open, I have the service manual but I do not see and reference to actually opening it. I have tried tilting the transport bolts as mentioned on Vinyl Engine but no luck, Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
I’d love to have an ESR meter like the one you have. So handy, was it a kit can you point me to a source for one just like this one? Been following your channel for years great info. Thanks!
The closest one available now is the "Blue ESR meter"

Yeah the K-Tel record is a bit cheesy - but that's what people liked in the 70's and 80's.
