From my guest of the story flow: When Alice parted with Deemo/Hans, she didn’t wake up but instead heading to the next stage of the coma. She was having her normal life she had before, just without her brother. But the shadow of Deemo and the masked lady still lingers inside her mind, especially her doppelgänger. She was envious of tue masked lady because although they’re particularly the same person, Alice wasn’t able to spend much time beside her brother while her clone could. So she started to find the pieces to make the mask, and when she completed the masked and put it on, the world inside her mind reseted to before another Alice come falling from a window. This time she was able to spend lots of time with Deemo/Hans, but she wasn’t satisfied yet. She wanted this dream to continue forever, so she stopped the next Alice to leave the castle because she knew that when that happened, the castle along side with her ideal dream will be ended. But Deemo stopped her, all for her brighter future that awaits in front of Alice. Realizing this, all she could by that point is just dealing with the cruel reality that nothing can last forever and the death of Hans cannot be reversed. After that, the masked lady revealed her true identity to the next Alice, and a new cycle begins. But the current Alice seems to be aware of the fact that there’s nothing she can do to change the past (Overall, they’re the same person. She won’t have the memory the previous Alice has but the feeling and experience in her heart will change through time, that there’s something wrong with this place). She don’t want to repeat the mistake that the past her has committed so many times (It’s a cycle so god knows how many times that scenario has happened by that time). So she threw the mask away after completing it, marking the end of the cycle as she wakes up in the real world.
Even in the other versions of the game that don't have the Masked Lady / Celia's sidestory, it's perfectly plausible to believe that Alice relives her experience as Deemo by putting on the mask. It's a perfect time loop! This explains why the Masked Lady knows so much about the tower-- and appears so desperate to get Alice to not enter the final room of the game. She's lived through the hell of Hans dying and doesn't want that for her past self. Ideally, through the Forgotten Hourglass, these timeloops can continue forever and she can always stay with her brother. Gonna dump some new song lyric analyses below-- following this realization, I'm astounded at how much they tie in to the story. The songs Magnolia, Myosotis, and Marigold by M2U are lyrical representations of this chain of events and all told through Celia's point of view. I'll explain Magnolia briefly. *"Tried to get a rise out of magnolia petals, but soon scattered them over you."* The Masked Lady is reliving this timeline over and over to try and get "high", so to speak, over her brother still being alive. But inevitably, her brother dies at the ending of the story, and the joy is seemingly wasted. *"Watch me fall and drop away... Dropped me bad!"* Literally represents all of the Alices falling through the window of the tower. The "dropped me bad" immediately following portrays the betrayal Celia feels towards Hans; as she feels like it's *his fault* for leaving her and Alice. I can already see the tie-ins with Myosotis and Marigold. This theory is pretty much canon, it's unbelievable. I love this game.

His Grief, a story about how Hans goes through the dream instead of Alice. However, instead of the roles being swapped (Alice saved Hans), this is an AU where instead, Hans doesn't see the truck in time, resulting in Alice being killed. He is awoken next to a piano that whenever he plays it, more and more of the dream is revealed, similar to the original game. Instead of Hans being guided by a Deemo like figure, he is all alone. His only company is a shadow of a mysterious young girl (representing Alice). His story, instead of being about accepting the death of a loved one, is about going through the stages of grief. Of course it can't be a new Deemo AU without new songs, and I have a few recommendations: -A Bella! by M2U -World.execute(me) by Mili -Lost Memory by Sakuzyo -Happy End of the World by xi -Valhalla by xi -The Prince of Darkness by M2U -A new version of the M trilogy, the C trilogy. Based on these flowers Calla Lilly: Purity, Passion (The Magnolia of this chapter) Carnation: Symbolizes regret that a love cannot be shared (The Myosotis of this chapter) Chrysanthemum: Loyalty, Love (The Marigold of this chapter) And a few new songs that I may edit in later. I'd love to hear what you all think of this idea and more songs you'd add.
I'm sorry but I laughed as soon as I saw the truck coming in. ANYHOW, This is phenomenal. The artstyle is endearing and Rayark does a fine job of telling a story through the art and its selection of music. For this specific case, the music did a magnificent job of adding to the animation, they both essentially complimented each other so well to the point that the story just hit that much harder. Bravo bravo. This was great.

I never played the Game cause you have to pay a lot money (or at least the comments said that) but watched the cutscenes. I will say it like that... That game made me cry a lot (or the end) and it's just beautiful.
I only payed a dollar or two for the full version and got the whole story and a ton of music. There are song books that you can get tho that aren't apart of the story, and are extra. I did buy some song books, but the songs you unlock are also very amazing

What i dont understand is that after the ending the game just expect u to come back down to the rooftoop like u never climbed these stairs and return to the castle rooms u just watched breaking down into ashes to the void to unlock the all these music boxes for the final ultimate one and then u come back to the rooftop playing the rest of the songs uve unlocked so far and ur just stuck in an enternal loop watching the window from blow lol like bruh nononono
