The BMW F31 320d is powered by a 2.0 straight 4-cylinder Bi-Turbo diesel engine and delivers 190HP & 400Nm of torque.
In our opinion, the 190 hp of the BMW F31 320d are more than enough for the car, they are fun, sporty and comfortable at the same time.
BMW F31 320d has a 8-Speed automatic Steptronic gearbox. The gear shifts are very aggressive you can feel it when you drive in SPORT MODE but when you try to drive normal the gears are super soft. Also, when you hit a paddle on your steering wheel it shifts directly. The BMW F31 320d is powered by a rear-wheel-drive System.
Let's take a look at the BMW F31 320d touring fuel consumption. According to factory specifications, the manufacturers promise that the combined fuel consumption is 4,9l/100km. For a 2.0l engine with 190hp this is a very low consumption. But the driving style plays a big role, because if you drive sporty you can never keep the prescribed manufacturer consumption. On the other hand, if you drive very economically, you can even get below the factory specification. Further information is that the tank volume includes 57 liters which is quiet a lot. With a full tank, the BMW F31 320d touring reaches 1390 kilometers. For an everyday car this is very amazing. However, you have to consider that these numbers can only be achieved if you drive economically.
1605Kg are ideal for BMW F31 320d touring. A light weight ensures that a car consumes less. The light weight is especially noticeable in the acceleration and let the 190HP act even faster. According to the factory, the BMW F30 F31 320d accelerates in sport+ from 0-100 in 7,6 seconds. From our own experience we can confirm that the acceleration feels much faster. The top speed of the BMW F31 320d is 222km/h, but our test car reached 241km/h which is very crazy for only 190hp without a stage. Because of the light weight, the speed feels super-fast. We are not sure if the car is limited. The wind noise at higher speeds is comfortable. The BMW F31 320d sound from the exhaust is nothing special.
The BMW F31 320d suspension is amazing. The suspension can be changed in the different driving modes. In sport mode it is hard and stiffer and you have more feeling for the road and bumps, the car starts to bounce a little. In comfort mode, the suspension changes to soft, so you don't feel as much of the road. The handling in curves of the BMW F31 320d is optimal, because you can drive even at high speeds in sharp curves without understeering or oversteering. However, the cornering position is also dependent on the weight. The steering is very accurate and direct, so you do not have to steer much. Even when braking down hard from high speeds, the car behaves quietly.
The size of the BMW F31 320d touring is 4,6m in length and includes a width of 1,8m, which overall represent a very large vehicle. This can be compared to a Mercedes-Benz C-Class T-Modell or an Audi A4 Avant.
In our opinion the BMW F31 320d touring is one of the best looking modern combis which was ever built. What do you say?

Das ist noch der alte single turbo. Twin power ist marketing und bedeutet aber in diesem Fall 1 Turbolader. Im F30-F31 hat nur der 325d zwei. Im G20 hat der 190er den TÜ Motor mit twin-turbo.

Could you use a draggy next time and could you test the alfa giulia 2.2 diesel 190 hp or 210 please.

I'll see what I can do ;). We have already tested many Alfa Romeo like the giulia with 2.2 180HP diesel and the 200hp petrol version. Giulietta and mito QV and the Stelvio Veloce and QV. Stay tuned :)
