Winter Camping: Slow cooked beef stew on the Cobb BBQ

1:16 out of interest, why is all of this over a gas stove? Why not use the cobb to fry over? Is it not hot enough to fry on? I'm about to buy one and am watching you cook most of the meal over a gas hob?!!

Looks like all the cooking was done over the gas stove while the Cobb was just warming up. Why not just do al lthe work on the Cobb? Does this mean the Cobb alone cannot be used to make this stew?

Absolutely you can do it all on the Cobb on charcoal.... I opted to do the frying part on gas because I didn't want to heat up too many coals as I wanted a gentle charcoal cook... plus I was still lighting the coals at that point.... you could easily do the frying part on charcoal and then remove a few briquettes to lower the temperature for the longer cook.

Less versatile than the Cobb, but superb for grill and keeps a good heat.

Por que no cocinaste todo de una vez en la cobb en lugar de hacer malabares en esa hornalla???.. No le encuentro el sentido.

Porque tarda encender el carbón y quise preparar mi comida mientras había luz del día.... Obviamente podría haber preparado todo en el cobb por carbón pero estaba camping en -11C y tenía hambre. Después de tantos años la gente sigue criticando que usé la hornalla en este video jaja. Relax

Jaja... He recibido un montón de críticas por el uso de la hornalla en este video... Es gracioso la verdad. Pero sii, era por eso... Mucho frío y no quise perder mi tiempo jaja

@@CampingShack lo entiendo, de hecho no suelo cuestionar ningun video. Pero uso habitualmente la cobb me parece un excelente complemento de cocina. Siempre que la utilizo uso los mismos accesorios que vos y hago todo en ella no necesito una hornalla aparte, por eso me llamo la atención el uso que le diste. De hecho en varias partes del video casi se te car la sarten de la hornalla. Yo pondria en la descripción algo que indique por que la usaste de esa forma.
