Thank you for a really good video. Dude, you are a very smart guy to know what you know about those engines. Wish I had your knowledge 40 years ago. Thanks for the ride. You guys have a beautiful family and I love one of my grandsons setting on my lap watching your video and explaining whats going on. Thanks for the ride.
Good video folks. I've used automatic trans fluid in my semi to lube and clean. Trans fluid has detergent in it. Get that motor to operating temp. And it will be good I'm sure. Thanks for sharing.
I love seeing the old iron still out farming we run 7000 series Allis charmers I raise beef cattle and use all old iron it is 100% fact chrome don’t get you home!!
Tip that I like to share. On the engine heater. Instead of having it plugged in all the time and wasting electricity. I put a cheap timer on then have set to turn on automatically 2 hours before I plan to use the tractor. So let’s say you plan to run it at 8 am then it will turn on 6 am and shut off at 8 am. Then the other 22 hours out of day it’s not using electricity. It saves me at least 1 dollar a day. 120 days or more when you need it plugged in over the winter adds up. Good job installing the heater
I tried to subscribe while you were in town gathering parts. I then remembered that I was already subscribed. Oh well, I tried. Happy Thanksgiving!. Plenty for which to be thankful! God bless y'all.
Good luck with the heaters! I remember helping my dad install a tank heater like yours on his JD 4020. It made a world of difference when we needed it to plow snow. That tractor started hard in July let alone January. His 4010 didn't have that problem. Didn't even need ether. Funny how each tractor has its own quirks like that. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
I think a neighbor had a 706 and another had a 856. Dad had a '67 Moline M670 in those years. The Cozy Cab on it for sure had no heater!! I think it was enough that the wind was off his back compared to full open station or a canvass heat houser. Did my share of stalk chopping.
Love your videos I am a international guy as well looking at the front of the tractor looks like it is a little loose just looking out for you I have to 966 for hay and I have to tighten the wishbone ball nut every year god bless
Hopefully some run time will help clear up the fuel issues. Once the cab heater is working properly, you'll definitely appreciate it in your climate. The diesel engine 806's were known for long life with proper maintenance. Looks like some patience and fine-tuning will put another horse in the corral. Have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!!!
I didn't learn until a few years ago that the PreMix Antifreeze is better for the cooling system, because it uses softened and stabilized water, no minerals that can be a problem. I probably could have saved a radiator or 2 because of the "hard water" that I have. The mechanic that told me said you either pay a little now, or a lot later.
I'm like you it needs to be run under a load to help clean the sluge out. It may have been doged around and not getting up to operating temperature does not help. Good job on what you did.
The 806 was much bigger tractor when I was 13 years old. Glad to see you got it running nice. As the Governor not working that true, he spent 2 months out campaigning, Or are you talking about the tractor governor not working? Dad made a hitch on the chopper so we could pull a disk behind it and save a trip over the field Take care
Zero Start makes good products. I've used them on my semi trucks and farm tractors since the Seventies, and they last a long time. They are sensitive to burning up the heating coils if you get low on water or develop an air pocket.
Huh, im going to investigate more on that, mine is hooked up a little differently and I have no cab heat. Wonder what's different. Thanks for the video. Would like to know if you get better heat..
On the manure pump, I wonder if you can turn the piston around 180 degrees so that it sucks the manure back into the barn a little bit to loosen the clog. When you push on a clog it gets tighter. When you suck on the clog it shrinks up. I've had some success unclogging manure pipes using this technique with a vacuum tank. Pressure would never work but sometimes vacuum would.
If still looking for a water tank heater maybe check out BCP farming and trucking. He's out of Saskatchewan last winter or so he built a tank out of an old fuel oil tank. It has two water tanks and a fire box. Fills up in morning and last about 24 hours. Seems like a pretty simple deal.
I would have added another foot to that straight pipe. Sounds AWESOME, But that little bit more pipe would give you a bit quieter ride.👍👍👍👍. The other comment about ATF as a fuel additive is spot on. Nice video though.
When you were putting the valve in the cab heat return I was just waiting for that flat head to hit the thumb... at the end when you're idling the rig down that blue color on the straight pipe is weirdly satisfying to see. Is this your only cab with heat or do the others have it too?
That's a neat funnel setup thats hooks on the fitting that is draining. I homemade something similar but it doesn't work as well as this one. Any idea where you got that one?
Hi enjoyed your video. If no thermostat it will smoke more and no heat just my opinion. I put new valve seals on my tractor stopped burn oil. Not sure that engine has but its a idea. Have a good day .
It seems odd that the stack turned purple all the way to the top with that load. It would seem to indicate that the exhaust gas temperature is way to high. The timing advance in the injector pump must not work at all. If it was ran in this condition for any length of time it might have burnt an exhaust valve. With the straight pipe a burnt exhaust valve should be easy to hear when cranking on a cold engine. You can also crack the individual injector lines loose while running to isolate the bad cylinder. When running the hot water from engine heater to the thermostat housing you take a chance on the thermostat opening and the heated water circulating in the radiator instead of the engine block. Ask me how I know.....
If that pex and tube deal won’t tighten harbor frt sells a crimper and clamp ring set for under 50 bucks.or double up on hose clamps on that ball valve. My .02.
Your cab heat should come from a port off the engine water pump and return to block. Your coolant heater should be it's own system. Always run a thermostat. I put shut offs on all coolant ports in case you have a hose leak. That will be a nice rig when you get it all straightened out !
That miss sounds awfully 'breathy!' Betting a valve problem more than a bad injector pump or bad injector. Might be a good idea to get a compression test on the cylinders. Best Thanksgiving wishes for you all!
It does sound like the miss is clearing up. With all the sludge that was in the fuel, I wouldn't doubt the injectors could have fouled. What happened to the 560? Haven't seen it in a long time. Happy Thanksgiving from the panhandle of Texas to you and your family.
I noticed the engine seems to "chuffing" on the exhaust like an exhaust valve not seating properly. Check your valve clearances, you may have a tight valve. Also while engine is running loosen each high pressure iinjection line one at a time and listen for a change in the engine sound for each cylinder. The cylinder that provides the least change while doing that will be the weak cylinder. Might be worth a try. All the best!
Hard to figure it didn't have a block heater all along. Being in a Northern climate. Everything at home has block heaters. I wouldn't go without one now. A heated cab would certainly be nice come winter. Does your other International tractors have heated cabs?
I'd be curious to see what you find on the thermostat, I picked up an 806D a few months back. The factory temp gauge is unhooked and has been replaced by an electronic one, the highest I've seen it is 150* except once I was really making it work on about an 80* day with the 15' batwing shredder, it briefly got up to 190 during a hard pull and would drop back down. Mine also didn't have a block heater but had a hose ran from the temperature sender port on the back of the head to the block drain. I mounted one off the side of the engine oil cooler, getting the cold water from the block drain and putting the hot water in the temp sender port. How well does yours start? Mine will start in the 40's but requires quite a bit of cranking and blows white smoke before it starts. Plug the block heater in for a couple hours and it fires right up.
Pipe looks good. Nice tractor
She will clean up. Those tractors are bulletproof!!
You should put a couple of quarts of automatic transmission fluid in it. That works really well for cleaning the fuel system up.
your channel came up as a suggestion from youtube. have started with the oldest video's. enjoying the nature of your lifestyle.
Glad you found us!

It is sounding better! I know a heated cab will be nice in your part of the country
Nice job Andy pays off to b patient job well done love your videos ❤ and God bless y'all
Nice seeing the 806 in the field give it a paint job and get that darn yellow off there you and your family have great Thanksgiving
Fun to see a stalk chopper in action again. Did alot of it growing up. Got a chopping corn head several years ago, my mainly to save time.
Good fix with the socket idea, straight pipe is cool on it! Nice international 👏
Nice job Paul. Kids raised on dairy farms just know how.
Our 806 has a block heater in one of the frost plugs, it's worked great for over 50 years.
Excellent program again thank you
Good video folks. I've used automatic trans fluid in my semi to lube and clean. Trans fluid has detergent in it. Get that motor to operating temp. And it will be good I'm sure. Thanks for sharing.
Nothing like bringing her back to life! Good content! Take care and be safe...
All u need now is a couple of older Aliss Chalmers like we had in the 80s they were good tractors especially for disking .
I love seeing the old iron still out farming we run 7000 series Allis charmers I raise beef cattle and use all old iron it is 100% fact chrome don’t get you home!!
Fair warning my friend I'm going to steal that line Chrome don't get you home I love it !
I have an Allis 200 and a 7000 and I couldn’t agree more. Fuel efficient too!
ANOTHER VERY INTERESTING VIDEO THANK YOU ALAN GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hi good evening trinity dairy from Indiana
Love you vids my family just got out of dairy in April we were milking 70 in a tie stall
Awesome job. Love your show ❤

Great video Al .👍
Thanks for sharing your experiences, Happy Thanksgiving, May God Bless You and Your Family Always
Sounds like it’s starting to clean up and come around alaen
Hope your enjoying the new tractor? Thanks for another video.
Thanks for your experiences, Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless
Good fix. Glad it is getting the kinks worked out and hope the parts are reasonably priced. Thank you for the video. Happy Thanksgiving.
Looking good bud, nice job on the repairs.
I tried to subscribe while you were in town gathering parts. I then remembered that I was already subscribed. Oh well, I tried. Happy Thanksgiving!. Plenty for which to be thankful! God bless y'all.
Looks to be getting fixed up 🐂🐃🐄

Happy Thanksgiving to you all, keep up the good
Great video
Propane torch and pb blaster
Any thought about replacing the glass in the door? This was one of your best videos IMO.
Yeah, I plan on getting that replaced.
I think you have to get that engine temperature up and then work it will make a big difference,
Hopefully some run time will help clear up the fuel issues. Once the cab heater is working properly, you'll definitely appreciate it in your climate. I hope you and the family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I laughed at the name zerostart. Does that mean no way it's starting or will start at zero or less.😅😅😅😂😂
Use a radar temp gun on the manifold to find what cylinder is lacking. Gives you an idea where to look. Hopefully it will come out of it.
Happy thinkgave
The 806 was much bigger tractor when I was 13 years old. Glad to see you got it running nice.
As the Governor not working that true, he spent 2 months out campaigning,
Or are you talking about the tractor governor not working?
Dad made a hitch on the chopper so we could pull a disk behind it and save a trip over the field
Take care
It applies to both governors. 😂
You might need to add an in line 12 volt water pump in your cab heater waterline to get your cab to warm up.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving bless you and your. Family
Same to you!

A deep well socket may work.
A few quarts of automatic transmission fluid in the fuel works really good to clean injectors
Hopefully You Can Get All The Bugs Worked Out On The Tractor. Happy Thanksgiving To Y'all Blessings And Please Be Safe ✌️

❤ the videos 😊

Hello Trinity Dairy

The 1066 has heat too.
That's a neat funnel setup thats hooks on the fitting that is draining. I homemade something similar but it doesn't work as well as this one. Any idea where you got that one?
It came with a riding lawn mower we bought, it was to drain the engine oil.
Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving!

The best injector cleaner is ATF in a diesel engine. Especially on older ones. Not sure I would recommend it in these newer ones

Try some Conklin fuel additives best out there imo
Those mice love farmers . Tractors 😂😂😂😂😂❤
I think the 806 needs a couple hours in front of a 4 bottom plow!
Did you get your manure pump working?
Not yet, but I think we're close.
Your cab heat should come from a port off the engine water pump and return to block. Your coolant heater should be it's own system. Always run a thermostat. I put shut offs on all coolant ports in case you have a hose leak. That will be a nice rig when you get it all straightened out !
I’m waiting for you to put him [806 ] on the plow and make some black smoke !! How’s the manure pump doing?
Thought we had it cleaned out and pumping again, but it stopped again. Hopefully we'll get it on the plow in the spring.
Were you able to get the last of your corn combined?
Not yet
That miss sounds awfully 'breathy!' Betting a valve problem more than a bad injector pump or bad injector. Might be a good idea to get a compression test on the cylinders. Best Thanksgiving wishes for you all!
Put it on the mixer
Sounds better. Alan would you consider putting a turbo on it?
Possibly
It seems to just work a tractor helps more than anything
Awesome I don’t remember the 806 did you just buy this not long ago
Yes
@ oh sweet I will have to go back and watch the other videos congratulations
It does sound like the miss is clearing up. With all the sludge that was in the fuel, I wouldn't doubt the injectors could have fouled. What happened to the 560? Haven't seen it in a long time. Happy Thanksgiving from the panhandle of Texas to you and your family.

The 1066 does.
Look at the Right side of the engine IT would have a Frost Plug HEATER ❤😊
would baling the corn stalks work it more? things starting to be expensive
It might, but can't do that now, we got snow. Haven't put much into it yet.
Hook it up to a plow clean it right up

This one, seems to need a shot of either.
The screwdriver you were using to put the heater on; we had a set like that is that a Craftsman?
Yes
Happy Thanksgiving!!! Just wondering what happened to pauls 560
Paul sold it. It needed quite a bit of work.
@trinitydairy that is a great planting tractor 🚜
are the inlet, and outlet for heater hoses hooked to same place?
No
pull your biggest piece of equipment behind it and work it hard for a couple of hours, it may clear up.
806 needed to strech its legs
