I hold Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng entirely responsible for my mortgage going from £119 pcm for circa 5 years at least...to £450 then£480 in two months. Jane, so sorry for you as I was saying the other day that if I still had a mortgage (thankfully was able to buy when younger on a 3 x annual salary) now a pensioner (after the extra 6 years) there is absolutely no way I would be able to afford to live with a jump like that. We have now a projection of a further 18% budget cuts further damaging the economy and boosting the need for even higher migration.
