This is because you dont have much opportunities to speak or listen Chinese and lack the chinese language environment, so thats not easy to immediately reflect the correct meaning of those vocabularies. However, when you see it, you will associate it with the content you have learned and will be remember it. suggest u do more listenning and reading practices.
