  • This is for those BBC staff that found themselves on holiday at the BBC Engineering Training Centre at Wood Norton near Evesham, rising splendidly up the left hand side of Bredon Hill.
There's no explanation here, as those who enjoyed the crochet lawn, the Phoenix, the BBC Club in Evesham, and the hired boats on the River Avon just across the road with flagons of wine and casks of beer onboard, oh and then there were courses to attend, are welcome to add their anecdotes and tales of buildings shown here....
For me? The single EMI 2001 in Studio A. THAT to me was television!
Some of the shots remind me of The Prisoner's Village :)
NEXT! To be uploaded soon! Full frontals of Bredon Hill itself!

Thanks for posting. I’ve met various former BBC engineering people who trained at little old Wood Norton. Nostalgic to see people going about their work/lives in such a different era with different priorities. Looked like a nice rural place to train, assuming adequate transport to nearby hostelries in the evenings?!
