Trying to do 4 right now and all of them have had issues that require lots of work. I would suggest redesigning the kit to reduce the number of pieces and junctions power had to go through. Otherwise get rid of the power going through the metal weight, it just does not work 1/2 the time.
The FR11's are only needed if you want to be able to turn the lights on and off using your DCC system. The LED type lighting kits will work fine on a DCC system without modification as long as you're happy with them being on all of the time.
Could you please do a how to install the superliner marker (tail) lights video
I was wondering if you could do a Tech Corner video on hooking up Unitrack to a DCC system.
Apply two wires to the track.....done.
Thanks for the help videos! Is there a kit to light the Superliner Phase VI Lounge upper level?
Not the upper level, unfortunately, just the lower level.
+KatoUSAInc any possible chance will u guys make a NS excursion Set with the ABBA units? That will be awesomeness
the Superliner has the high ground
Can this be used on a concor super liner to achieve illuminated interior?

Well, those junctions actually allow you to easily slip a DCC chip they make (called the FR-11) into place.
I put solder over the contacts to help raise the contacts up to touch
What is the difference between the 7-504 in this video and the 7-505 lighting kit?
The color of the LED is different, otherwise theyr'e identical kits.
@@KatoUSAinc i take it the 705 is a yellowish colour versus the bright white/blue in the 704?
Correct
@@KatoUSAinc Alright, thank you! Guess I'm going to light up some coaches and a caboose!
@@KatoUSAinc I can't find any mentioning of this 7-505 on your site.
I did this on my all Kato Superliner coaches. You have forgotten to stick the white stickers on the ceiling to reflex the light down. Max.
It's mentioned at the end - the stickers aren't necessarily required but they can certainly be used for those who want them.
...I'm guessing the same holds true for that FR-11 piece that you sell separately?
