- This tutorial video is for a beautiful side fan fold ice dye. I used a protractor and compass for the folds on this design, and then added the dye over the top of the ice and processed it at an incline.

The symmetry was great. That was a lot of effort, Angie.
Thank you so much! 😀
This one reminds me of a Sunset. It’s just lovely.
Thank you so much! 😀
There's a huge difference. Looks amazing
Thank you so much! 😀
I love this shirt, Angie. I love the long flow lines. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much! I love the long flow lines too. 😊
My OCD is happy. That orangy/bronze coloring really enhances the burst look of the exploding star. How about using the 20 degree mark for the fan fold out to about 1/2 way then switching it to 10 degree fan folds where it starts to get wider.
That's a cool idea! I'll have to try that.
Wow, that’s absolutely stunning Angie!
Thank you so much! 😀
I really like this one. I think it was worth it. That Deep Ocean really pops.
Thank you so much! 🙂
Great job Angie. I just made a precise fanfold with much smaller pleats using Strawberry sky's and I Love it just like I Love this one. Thanks for the video. Have a nice weekend.
Thank you, Tim! I love Strawberry Skies, I'm sure you shirt is beautiful! 🙂
Love the shirt, green and blue are my favorites😁✌️
Thank you! 🤗
Great job ! Love it !
Thank you so much! 😀
Very nice! Thank you for sharing your process. Those are taller fan folds than I've ever tried. I love the results. Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you! They may be some of the tallest ones I've done too. 🙂
I think it came out amazing. I like the larger folds and you can definitely tell a difference.
Thank you! I really love this one too. 🙂
I think it looks perfect! I like the lines and how they go all the way out across the shirt. Thanks for another great video.
Thank you so much, Allen! 🙂
Looks like how the Dharma color herbaceous splits! 💙💚
It does kind of look like Herbaceous! 🙂
Nice. Love your videos.
Thank you so much! 😀
I forgot to ask, can the fan fold be made more on the front of the shirt or does it have to be on the side?
Yes, it absolutely can be. Most of the time I call that a center burst.
Where was the protractor and compass purchased from?
I bought them from Harbor Freight.
I tried the dye under ice technique but the fabric didn't absorb the dye well. I then went in for another round of ice but still it didn't help. Any idea why it's happening?
I have several suggestions:
1. Make sure your shirt has been prewashed in hot water before soaking it in a soda ash solution to get out any sizing or chemicals that may have been put in the shirt during the manufacturing process.
2. If your shirt was soaked in a soda ash solution, but is fully dry when you begin applying the dye - lightly spray a little bit of your soda ash solution over the top of the shirt. This will help break some of the surface tension and help the dye to soak in better.
Otherwise, sometimes it can depend on the colors that you used. Yellow dye for example has a tendency to not dissolve as well as other colors. Also, your shirt needs to be natural fibers to work with this dye. Polyester won't dye.

😊
any idea what I could replace who's the moss with ? TIA!
I pulled all my color swatches, and I don't have a color that is a match for the Who's The Moss? dye color. However, I think the closest one is Willow from Dyespin. It has a little more blue in it, but it is close.
@@FunEndeavors thanks so much for doing that! ❤️
