Finally. Its actually a significant improvement in all area of the device, the fingerprint sensor , camera, animation speeds are much improved,this is how it should of been at launch,
But not in battery life. Thank God for march security update.
Would love to see a before and after photo quality comparison of the S24 ultra.

I remember on the Galaxy S7 there was a mode in display settings called “Amoled cinema” or something and it would make the colours MUCH MORE vivid! The colours looked so good and fun! I wish they looked like that on my 15 Pro Max, maybe it’s like this so they appear more natural and accurate but I still like the more vivid and saturated colours better tbh!
That mode can still be used through adb command line.
There's an app called "sam helper " you need to shiskuku to use it and it let's you enable cinematic amoled, amoled photo, srgb , natural and vivid.
I do this on Mt a32 4g, it doesn't have it otherwise in the settings app , but i also have the galaxy j5 2017 and it does have amoled photo and cinematic amoled in the settings app but vivid is the most vivid option there too
please, put the ultra next to a 15 pro max, let them both be in some app with white background, I'm curious to see did the samsung fix the 24's white.
If you don't like how white it is just use eye comfort shield and adjust white Balance yourself or just use the trutone on Samsung it has a different name i don't remember it but it's in display section of the settings app

Watching movies go for vivid mode
Editing photos and videos go for normal mode
That's what the dulled vividness already did as well though, HDR content was still shown as intended with the HDR, so media would be very vivid where as the rest would be more natural.
You need to put the same wallpaper and icon placements on all phone so that when you compare them we can really see the difference
The s24 and s24 plus both got camera upgrades as well.

You need to a comparison of the s23 ultra and s24 ultra with its new settings to see if the vividness matches
The S21 ultra has the best vivid colors

They have fixed the vivid option. Colours appear much more saturated. But the overall brightness of the screen and the white balance is still off.
S23 ultra still pops in comparison.
Whites look dazzling white on s23 ultra .. Instagram photos seem brighter.
Facebook feed looks much brighter..
There's also the grainy display issue!!! They must fix that too , this display Is bad in so many ways , it's pathetic!

Nowadays, phone manufacturers do not care about white balance anymore. They only care about brightness, 10/12 bit panel etc. Even other brands have off white balance issues. I remember old phones with IPS panel had true white, but I don't think we will see this again on the new display generation.

What about the color temperature ? Since S21 Series the display is more blue tone which is not comfortable, We want to have an option making the display more warm like iPhone

I changed from my S21 to the S24 today and, even with the update, I am so disappointed with the vivid mode. I have put both phones next to each other and the colours of the S24 are still DULL and washed out in comparison. Does anyone know if they are gojng to create another update with a more vivid option? Otherwise I will have to return it as I am not willing to pay almost 1000 bucks for something with subpar colour options. So disappointing :(

@cesarpaz96 It is nothing to do with the anti reflective screen.
Omg that's not good, I was looking for a comment like this of someone comparing the s24U with their previous device and this doesn't sound like they fixed it 100%. Honestly, I'm not sure they can fix it 100% and another update to address this is unlikely :'(
I currently have s23Ultra and I won't be upgrading :(
@oliverdickinson513 The S21 was comically oversaturated. I came from the 23 and was totally fine with the colours as they were on the 24 but the update does make a difference. From all the reviews I've seen on the update I would say 95% of people are happy with it. Only you can make the decision if you would be too.
If you're going to listen to anybody , make it a reviewer that has a 23 and 2 24s to show the differences and similarities and so far the only person I've seen that has done it is Flossy Carter

You have to turn Eye Comfort Shield off for your new vividness bar to work.

I updated my S24 Ultra but it says Overall stability of functions Improved and The security of your device has improved. That is it. Nothing about camera. Why is that?
Side note, the vividness slider does absolutely nothing if you have Eye Comfort shield on which is a must for me. You have to turn it off to even get the advanced option but as soon as you turn it back on there goes the "vividness", but I wasn't unhappy with the display to begin with so will stick with Eye Comfort shield.
Samsung increased pwm on s24 series from 240hz on s23 to 492hz which is slightly higher than iphones 480hz 1:20
Will this vivid update make it to other oneui 6 phones like s23,s22, etc?

While I did really like the display become this update, now I LOVE how saturated it is. This should have been included at launch but it's better late than never. Very glad this was a software issue versus a hardware one.

After update, only OneUI is more saturated, video on TH-cam etc is still the same, and the google security is still on July 2023, the 5x zoom still poor in darker environment.
For the security update you have to press on it and it installs, then restart it

My s24U gets warmer after the update by just doing regular tasks. Not hot by any means but definitely warmer. Anybody notice?
Mine was like that during my 1st week, and they said maybe i messed up my smart switch thing because I use smart switch in copying all files. I factory reset my phone and it nows works flawlessly no more heating
Give it time to adjust and like he said may have to do a reset
@@FrancisSyCoCo smart switch was said and done almost 3 weeks ago. Not warm after it was switched up until last night's update. Its really not a big deal because at least it doesn't get hot like iPhone. But I can definitely tell the temp. I'll clear cache and see if that makes a difference

Kardeşim merhaba !. Seni burda görmek güzel. Bende S24 Plus kullanıyorum ve bende almadım. Avrupada en az S serisi satılan ülkeyiz. Bu nedenle bize en son sıra geliyor. 1-2 gün içinde Coşacağız inşallah.

my xiaomi mi9 had so much better color display then my s24 ultra, the colors are still washed out, everything is still yellowish ( even tho i got everything turned off and vivid on max), when taking a photo human skin looks so yellowish too
Natural looks better to me but I like color accuracy over punchy, wrong colors.
I don’t see the VIVDNESS slider
You have to turn Eye Comfort Shield to OFF to access the vividness bar.

Funny thing on my wifes S24 ultra, the advanced vividness setting makes no difference whatsoever in how the screen displays colours. So is this a faulty phone?!
I always put mines on natural screen mode. Vivid is too much for me..natural to me is just perfect 👌🏽
Natural its not natural. Vivid at lvl 0 its the best. Samsung should be implemented this settings on s23 series. Natural its good temperature, but lack colors.

A flop update for a flop device like it doesn't even come close to S23 ultra or iPhone 15 pro Max camera even my 12 pm looks good compared to this gimmick ai phone 😂😂😂
