Hi Kevin; in combination, all of these moves require excellent timing which most of us aren't blessed with. Even releasing the angles between the wrists & hands has to be perfect & supination is even more difficult. Most teachers stress the idea of taking a divot by hitting the ball 1st while Woods says when he's hitting it his best, he doesn't take a divot or only a very small one. The same goes for Steve Stricker on the Champion's tour. Neither of them use much wrist set & have a sweeping type of release with more body rotation that eliminates the need for timing with wrist use. There also isn't much supination but still release the club. It seems this video is designed more for better players. There is a video explaining the swings of Woods & Stricker who obviously did well with their methods. The lack of a divot is the point.
Kevin thank you for your videos. If you ever decide to move to Toronto let me know and I’ll be your student. Try some live action reaching videos where you take a 100-105 scoring golfer, horrible swing speed and do the 1-2 hour session t at him before and after, then do follow ups with his m every 2 months. We would love to see the progress, follow the same thing
Kevin, can you show how much club speed you have apart from the distance? how can you have such effortless swing with the club speed to have that kind of distance?
A bit confusing because you want to start the downswing with your body via weight shift. So you have to begin rotation at or before the top of the backswing. Also, please keep swing speed on the screen. Also would be very helpful to see the flight tracer.
Today, I tried it on the golf course with quite notable results 😊 But I noticed also that I could hardly take any divots or even worse: the contact was quite thin sometimes… any suggestions why?
Yup, for sure! That is why just going into the backyard or somewhere you have room to swing a club works. Here is what I have been doing: I have had wrist surgery on my left wrist, I am right handed. When younger I had speed and could muscle the club and hit the crap out of it. Now, I am old and have to work on a proper release. Without a ball, I have done it for week upon week upon week with just my right hand and has helped more than a lot. I can hear the club swish through right after the impact area. I am not hanging on and dragging the handle through and hitting with the face open. Lots of speed with no effort. Hope it helps someone.
@ Yes tinkering and practice helps and the key is to be relaxed . But sometimes a 3rd eye can spot one small adjustment to achieve that eureka moment .
Very impressive explanation and theory. I totally agree with the thought of throwing the club under the ball but your supination release is not exactly explained. My question is: how do you time this supination, when do you twist the handle? Can’t it be done earlier. Even at the top of the backswing? Thanks for the answer and your further explanations. One suggestion: why not to show the visuals of the ball flight? It would show your straight ball flight 😊
There's a video of the swings of Woods & Stricker & neither of them use this method & neither of them take much of a divot. They have more body rotation with a flatter plane. I could never use this video for my swing because it requires excellent timing which I don't have.
Don't worry about how the golfers swing looks since we're all different in so many ways. But understand proper tension, club path, and body mechanics to deliver the most efficient impact to that dang golf ball. 😂
Game changer. I wasn’t understanding how to execute a proper supinated release. I see now what you mean. Can’t wait to try it out.
Kevin, many thanks for another great video. Your instruction is intuitive and works consistently with proper practice and time invested.
Kevin, great video and i had improved my golf shot after viewing your TH-cam 👏
Great release explanation the best uve heard !!
Nice. Thanks. Will have to practice this. Was confused about this.
Great video explanation

😊The best explanation of the supinated release being much more stable.
Great video. I’ve been raising my arms much higher, then dropping without as much wrist hinge. I feel like I’m losing power. This seems effortless.
That’s similar to AJ Bonar’s advice to hit through the ball like making a forehand stroke in tennis.

I believe the 'non-rotational release' is a better method. Easier to time and gives straighter shots. Just my opinion.
Today, I tried it on the golf course with quite notable results 😊 But I noticed also that I could hardly take any divots or even worse: the contact was quite thin sometimes… any suggestions why?
Kevin you make it look so easy with all your videos but I think many viewers are having a hard time replicating it due bad muscle memory habits 😂

What do the numbers on the screen mean? 144.5 +- 55.5?
144.5 is club head speed, the +- is the error range
@@apidas Maybe you should know before you comment. 144.5 club head speed😂😂 That's the distance the ball went.

That's my issue with the video. You have to have the timing to create these moves & 90% of us don't.
Yeah but you can swing so slow and still get good distance with this method. So it's not that hard to time up and hit some good shots
you have a very flat (hogan-esque) swing.....teachers have been stopping me from that habit for years.....hard to know who tp believe!
