I am 40 yr old male diagnosed with AVN stage 3 at 38 years age. There was high pain when I was diagnosed and doctors suggested THR on both sides. I am living a pain free life now. All I have done is walk very limited and maintain my weight below 50kg. I am 5ft 2in, so this may not be possible for people of bigger size. Also I have stopped putting load on the hips while walking by using crutches. It took 1 year for the pain to subside but it did finally. The most important factor to reduce the pain is to stop loading the damaged joint. Either stop walking or start using crutches/reduce weight. Once the pain stops it will be much easier to perform these exercises to keep the muscles strong.
Also I do not believe this condition can be cured. Once it's there you have it forever. Only thing to do is to control the symptoms and flare ups like I have mentioned above and try to avoid a surgical intervention as much as possible.

I’m so so thankful to u. Mujhe 7-8 months se AVN hai bilateral. Abhi bus 2 days se he main ne apki exercises ki hain n I can see huge difference. I feel light n good.
Mera question hai k Mujhe baithte howay boht dard hoti hai I can’t squat or take stairs. Khuda k karam se Mujhe Ab limp nahi hai per baithtay waqt asani ho uski koi exercise bta dijiye. Main apki boht shukar guzar rahongi. I’m on stage 2 on left and stage 1 at right.
