- We had some rain move through from remnants of Hurricane Delta. I thought it would be a good idea to check out the creek. It turned out be a GREAT outing. Several nice blues came in - a 30, 28, 19, and a 10 lber. Fishing the backwaters of the creek is always worth trying, especially after a good rain.

Nice too hear that you are starting out so young, I like watching fishing videos where they take their children with them. A lot of the time the kids catch all of the fish, it's fun to see the excitement when they hook a nice one.
I like to get tips and how to catch bigger ones from catfish and carp. Also I fish in the pato.ac so for some reason its starting to slow down now

If you smoke or dip or chew , make sure your gloved up when making your litters and cutting bait. Those fish can smell the tobacco and will pass your set right up.

When the river is rising the trash goes to center of river when river falls the trash goes to the banks.that is why the trash gathers and gets hung along the shore line .
do you think the tidewater reels are good as the okumas?
I've used the tidwaters in the past, but I like the Okumas better.

They travel quite a bit. They are very migratory.

Theory: things get stirred up by the rain so little bait fish or dead fish come to them during the rain

Out west we call this a river, if you have to take a boat across it, it’s not a creek 🤷♂️.
This is technically a backwater of the TN River. Though it is called Chickamauga Creek.
