I remember years ago some guy rigged up an external fuel pump...he has a hose running straight into his gas tank and what he was doing was stealing people gas. He pulled right up next to cars, stuck his tube in their tank, got in the truck until it was empty, pulled out and drove off
I am trying to find a pump locally & a filter cause i have 2 vehicles ones engine is gone and it had $50.00 in gas in it the other i just got and would like to flush any rust etc by puttin 5 gallons or so in tilting the truck then pump that 5 gallons back out thru a filter
good Idea friend. I have seen them and never thought of doing something like this. I think I would add a filter on it to filter anything that might have got in the tank. Yet another good idea from poky the do right man. LOL.
+McCuneWindandSolar Yep, that little pump has drained almost 50 different tanks of fuel over the last 4 years. That link for it shows It comes with a filter but I plugged it up and have yet replaced it.
Links below video should show the best safe flow pump, and yes, you can power with anything that can provide 7 amps max. Cigarette lighter cord is fine.

How about one of those 12 volt battery jumpers that are small enough to fit in the glove box, will that work with this?
They will but they usually put out over 15 volts so they may over do it on the pump speed.

Can I make this to power from a cigarette lighter? Is there a place to buy this from a store? How can I make it to siphon extra fast?

many cars have anti siphon check balls built into the gas tank feed lines to prevent theft.

Not sure, but it had no issue emptying a 80 gallon tank
