    I think I've been using wool dryer balls for about a decade now. I highly recommend them (virtually no effort, effective, and about zero waste). Now I can even make them myself, thanks to you. Cheers, Ardith

    My husband and I don't use fabric softener because of the chemicals used in making them. We do use the woolen dryer balls, and we put a few drops of essential oil on them before drying our clothes to give them a nice, fresh scent. I've never made the dryer balls before; I didn't know they were so easy. Definitely a DIY project coming up. 😀

    I struggle with my moods, too. My advice is this: Do your hair and makeup every single day, even if you are sick. Did you know hospitalized people get better, faster if they do this? It is good practice for us all.
    Take care, I appreciate your videos so much.❤

    Thank you for the good vibes !! I love watching your videos !! Though I've never ever seen drier balls ! What are they used for ? Also, I was wondering : what is the purpose of the alcohol in the spray ? Thank you for anyone who answers this ! 😂 Have a nice day !

    • @thediymommy
      @thediymommy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The drier balls are great for cutting down static on clothes. The alcohol helps the mist evaporate quickly on the linens so you have the scent without it being damp. Enjoy!

    Just a thought but if you knitted the wool into a square felted it and dipped it in the fabric softener would that work to de-static the dryer too? I don't have a dryer so just a suggestion

  • @janetwalker3541
    @janetwalker3541 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Christina just a suggestion, make sure you don't use wool that has been preshrunk as it won't felt even if it's 100% wool. Also if you have pure essential oils that haven't been distilled with alcohol i. e. only distilled with steam in the process, it should be fine to put on the dryer sheets. I've done this before and no problem, you just have to make sure there's no alcohol in your essential oils.😊

    • @angeltripping
      @angeltripping 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      From what she said it seems like after the sheets are dipped in the laundry conditioner and dried....you can then just use them 12-24 times as you would a normal dryer sheet? So I guess AFTER the 12-24 times...then you need to re-dip and dry the little sheets again. ( I hope I got this right?)
      Love the video. It's very useful and something we can do 💜💐

    Don't use fabric softener. Use white vinegar instead. Works just as well as fabric softener, doesn't leave lingering smell because of laundry detergent, and has added benefit of each time helping to clean your machine, plus it helps to deep clean your clothes which further deodorizes them.
