I lived in the late seventies couple of years in this willage as little kid at mine grandparents, in this house 21.32, thanks for bringing me back nice memories
what a great find!! just the kind of place I'd love to explore. how cool that you were able to find someone living there that could give you a little information about the place. I like to see how the buildings were constructed.
Finally !!! I have been patiently waiting for this and it did not disappoint. what an absolutely magnificent area. There is beauty everywhere you look. Rugged and majestic. I have never seen such blue water. Did you take some pictures ??? and if not WHY !!! I would have filled up an sd card in no time. Everywhere you look there is a picture to be taken. It was awesome you got to meet the lady who gave you the mini-tour and was able to relate some of the histories to you. I'm glad you always looked down before entering the houses, that fall would definitely leave a mark or two !! Finally, we got to see the leather coat !!! I'm surprised you didn't try it on for size !!! This place is a photographer's dream. Thanks so much, Devin for taking us to someplace other than a bunker 🤣😆😂 You know I am just kidding !!! So how long till the next video, not TOO long I hope !!! safe travels my friend 👋
Thanks as always Christine, don't worry I took about 100 photos at least lol. This area was actually better than I expected but that happens alot here. I'll be doing some recording this weekend... back to a bunker but this time its a really cool one haha, more recent from the 80s and still should have a james bond villain type map room. 🤙
Story about border could be true, if you look on the map you can see roughly a 5km arch around Imotski and Vrgorac and a straight line connecting them. When the Venetians occupied that area they didn't care much for every square meter of the land, and they wanted peace with ottomans, so as per usual, politics messes with ordinary people lives... One tip, when you cross the border in that region you are in Herzegovina, not Bosnia. You will lose all street cred with the locals if you call them Bosnians
Herzegovina, you are right, hvala. But don't worry I didn't go up to anyone asking if they were Bosnian lol. I doubt cannons back then could shoot 5 km, but like all legends there probably is some truth. Thanks for watching!
Nice place. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you a wonderful upcoming week. Take care
Likewise bro, as always 🤙

Wow, thanks for sharing that, it's still beautiful.
My parents were from Imotski. And I have been there. It's a beautiful small city in Croatia.
It really is, thanks for watching 🤙
@@TattooedTraveler I live in Sydney Australia.
Beautiful place we went there years ago !
It definitely was, thanks for watching 🤙

Thanks Suzanne! Its probably similar to how they still do it. Everything is still stone, even the new construction.
Lovely place with lovely lakes!
Definitely is, barely knew about it before.
Just discovered the channel. Very cool content. Looking forward to viewing the rest of your videos.
Really appreciate it 🤙 and welcome.

The agreement was for the border to be one hour's walk away from the fortress.
