Pro tip if you have trouble remembering things for quizzes or actually comprehending what you're reading then listen to the audiobook and follow along in an actual book, helps you actually retain the information
@@AlexMallott I just feel pity for all these normal characters going through an extraordinary but hellish event, especially for Ralph who is trying his absolute best but losing himself slowly as the book progresses. I can’t hat Piggy either because he has shown the most loyalty and intelligence to Ralph. He is trying his best as well in whatever way he can. I hope those two characters turn out alright but it would be nice for everyone to live. (Haven’t finished the book yet)
It’s 1:30 I’m exhausted and I have to read to the end of the book for English class. Having this helps a lot sir thank you (especially because I can speed it up using the playback speed settings)
If you read the summary before reading the chapter then it can help you comprehend and understand what is happening more, unless you actually are interested in the reading and don’t want spoilers before the chapter
I really enjoy how you make the voices and the background music. I had ot read this for my class but My teacher uses your videos so we can listen to it. when i have to read it at home i just listen to you! it is so much more fun than reading!
Dude these videos of Lord Of The Flies from this channel are so much better then the others. Your voice changing to match the characters and changing it to be the narrator help me understand their mood and how the character is feeling so much better. also the sounds in the background help as well I have to listen to this for English and i can't follow along in the book because of my ADHD and austuim and your videos help me listen to the book : Edit: Ignore this edit, i didnt change my comment just a few misspelled words! Have a good day/night!
When ralph said let the fire go then i feel like symbolically he is losing hope because in the beginning the fire was a beacon of hope for the boys It was the most important thing but now they are letting it go
And then at the beginning ralph was so excited that there were no adults and they could act how they wanted but now at the thought of leaving he doesnt want to be in a part of life that has anything to do with wildness
Have my English GCSE exam (mock that's gonna form half our final grade) tomorrow, this is like a heaven sent, thank you so much. I'm also dyslexic so listening is so much easier for me than actually reading. Thank you! ❤️
This is probably a year late lol but it symbolizes Piggy's innocence and connection to home. So far, we've seen Ralph teeter on the brink to the dark side, for example he participated in the torturing of Robert in chapter 7. So, since he's seen that uncontrollable evil inside of himself before and his connection to his human nurture slowly fading, he realizes what he did was murder at first. Piggy on the other hand hasn't given in to his human nature so far on the island. He didn't take justification because he hadn't done anything like that before and didn't think he could be capable of it. So, it represents the continuation of his connection to human nurture.
WHAT?!? I love this book! Like There is so much symbolism and the fact that the “beast” is really just like the Devil whispering in their ears is amazing. It’s so much better than other books I have had to read in class
RIP SIMON MY BOY DIDN'T DESERVE TO DIE
#ripsimon
We all know a game the little un’s will never play again. See if you can guess which.
To be fair, I personally would not have crawled on all fours to a group of boys chanting bloody murder. Just seems like a bad idea
REALLLLL
he deserved it
This is single-handedly the best audiobook
Much appreciated!! Thank you!!
ralph and eric beating each other up is really funny

i also like to read summaries after reading and listening to the chapter just to recap what happened. this helps me a lot
Thank you for the tip! That’s what I’m doing right now😂
Thanks for the tip!
Word
another thing is if you dont have to book you can read the closed captions
I love how you put background music/sounds in this! It makes me understand the book much better. Also love the voices :)
Right! It really sets the mood since it goes along perfectly with what is being said/described in the book
i agree
It's incredible how much an author can make you hate a character like they were a real person
I hate pretty much every character except Simon, and he was murdered by everyone.

An “accident” is a crazy way to describe what happened
this has helped sooo much. had to read the book for class but listening to it is sooo much better!
The absolute anger I feel that they got piggy’s glasses. If someone took my glasses and they were all I had on an island it’s on.
literally
Our teacher made us listen to this and it is amazing with all the soud effects
This audiobook is a savior cause I always forget to do my reading before class and spark notes cant tell me the whole story like this. Thanks dude.

I love how you take your time and really tell the story so well. thank you :>
You can hear the regret of piggy and Ralph in the very beginning
I love this!!!

listening to this to finish my missing ela work woah
poor simon he deserved better :(
I know right he was the best
Wasn’t it Eric who actually kicked Ralph with his knee??? And then Eric feeling proud afterwards lmaooo
I think the symbolism of that was how evil can trick good people to fight themselves.

They’re becoming very brutal it’s so sad
Especially love the voice for The Lord of the Flies on a stake.
This is really helping my son. Thank you. Hearing and reading is a great combination 😁
This made my homework sooooo much easier

What is the symbolism or meaning behind Piggy trying to justify or explain Simon's death?
You'll have better luck on quizlet like the rest of us, buddy

piggy symbolizes science/reasoning or logic and simon symbolizes reality/spirituality almost christ like
