Pen Pal Programs For Seniors

Having a pen pal is still a thing! For seniors who are interested, there are three programs they can join to find a pen pal:

This organization matches children with seniors who then write to each other

(With this one, you write your letter online and it goes to the company which is called Home Instead. They then print the letter and distribute it to older adults.)
Seven Tips for a great pen pal relationship:
1. Stay safe by not sharing sensitive info
2. Write how you speak
3. Start by talking about your passions
4. Find common ground
5. Ask questions (and answer your pen pal’s!)
6. Send tiny goodies, such as pictures, poems, etc.
7. Be patient
