    Where has this brother been all my life? He is amazing. Absolutely makes you think outside of where you have been conditioned to think. I’m a big fan now.

    I appreciate that you caught that we are supposed to consider ourselves as Adam and Eve ALL the time, my impression is most think it just means during their two-hour nap in the temple. I don't agree with every single thing you said, but I do appreciate your approach and certainly I think that you are mostly right and far more aware of our situation than most. I learned a lot from this.

    Maybe Ezra Taft benson was our captain Moroni

      That makes sense, he really tried to get everyone to read the Constitution which we did as a family so we could be aware of what was and would happen to the Constitution.

    • @PeggyWest1127
      @PeggyWest1127 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      He absolutely was. Not only did he encourage a study of the Constitution, he recommended members read the book None Dare Call it Conspiracy. Very insightful but we didn’t listen.

      Anyone who listens to Pres Nelson and builds their spiritual and temporal place of refuge and fighting for liberty is a captain Moroni

      @@strplngwarriormom However we want to correlate them, there were several along with Captain Moroni that were valiant: Helaman, Teancum, Pahoran...that Nephite era was quite special.

    His comment about politicians being the dumbest people in the world and the biggest ego is the most accurate thing on earth. I have been BAFFLED while spending time in some of those circles. They are so disconnected to reality.

    If the kingmen vs freemen in Alma aren’t political parties I don’t know what is… isn’t that sort of the political battle we fight today as well? We haven’t always been politically neutral and Pres Benson really was a true watchman and after him things have become silent. I’ve learned that he really was a rogue and many amongst the 12 did not like him and there was a purging of sorts during and after him of members that thought like him…. And yet today the Church seems to have gone left… way left ie way kingmen!!!

    At election time a statement is read from the leaders encouraging us to vote. So how do you view this knowing that the Lord, not the government is the answer? Will you vote?

    • @pingebri
      @pingebri 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      As I’m sure you’re aware that letter was updated last year and I love the changes. Instead of just encouraging that we exercise our right to vote it encourages to do more…
      “We urge you to spend the time needed to become informed about theissues and candidates you will be considering. Some principles compatiblewith the gospel may be found in various political parties, and membersshould seek candidates who best embody those principles. Members shouldalso study candidates carefully and vote for those who have demonstratedintegrity, compassion, and service to others, regardless of party aliation.Merely voting a straight ticket or voting based on “tradition” without carefulstudy of candidates and their positions on important issues is a threat todemocracy and inconsistent with revealed standards (see Doctrine andCovenants 98:10)”
      Letter from the office of the first presidency sent June 1 2023

    So I was wondering why didn’t Morgan stay another night to cover Daniel and Revelations? Did something happen at the end of the fireside? He seemed kind of let down. He has a cute sense of humor. It must be exhausting g at times to keep his schedule going. I just wondered what had happened in the end.

    Isnt 2000 the first year of the new millennium in the same way 0 is the first year of our life. President Nelson says he is in the 100th year of his life, although he doesn't turn 100 until September. In september he will begin the 101 year of his life.

      In our culture A human is born at age zero and turns one after being alive for a year but there is no year zero in our calendaring system. 1 AD immediately followed 1 BC. It was year 1 during the full 1st year of the calendar. It’s two different ways of counting. The year 2000 really is the end of the 2nd millennium and 2001 is the beginning of the third. Incidentally in some cultures you are age 1 the day you are born.

      From what I ascertain from other TH-cam channels. We are in the 6th seal still, or the 6th thousand years. The millennial rein or the 7th seal hasn't opened. One reason is because during the time Christ was on the earth, called the meridian of time, that time isn't counted in the calculations of the final 2 seals. So the 6th 1000 year period should end and the millennial rein should start sometime around 2034 plus or minus. Best guess. So if you ascribe to the 7 year tribulation period, it has started or will get underway soon.

      @clamk77 when you are born you "start your first year and at the end we celebrate the completion of the first year and the start of your second year. We say, I'll turn 57 in December, when it actually means, "I'll complete my 57th year." Starting your day one of the 58th year. Hopefully that makes sense.

    Gotta love how you bend the prophets words to fit your own justifications. Gotta love these people with flattering words who are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Woe unto all the false prophets that are arising… Woe unto all who make flesh their arm and follow blind strangers.
