Chrome tip - apply a base coat after applying the chrome, then the final top coat, my chrome nails would ALWAYS chip before i started doing this but have remained perfect since i added the base coat step! ❤

I totally vouch for this! I’ve recently started doing this technique and it’s chefs kiss!

Yup, and I sometimes use gel foil glue which is even better. My chrome never chips.

Pretty much the same here, but with a thin layer of clear hard gel, and zero problems with chipping

Thank you!! The chrome always lifts on my nails so fast, no matter how much top coat I use !!

you are the first person I've seen mention that some buffers can actually make your natural nails too smooth and will lead to nails popping off. I learned this the hard way!

    • @IamERICA_01
      @IamERICA_01 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Same!!! I couldnt figure out why my gelx nails always popped off within a day or two.. I noticed how smooth they were one day and tried something different and it was amazing..

Adding tip: put on nails forms before the tip application to keep the gel from oozing onto your skin on the back of your finger

I've recently started to do my own nails like this. My natural nail was severely damaged after years of working as a dishwasher and I have always loved long pretty nails but I CANNOT stand acrylics, it drives me out of my mind, the thickness and the damage to the nail, it's horrible. But since getting out of post partum depression, I have found that doing my nails makes me feel so pretty and calm, so I've been binge watching your videos and learning to much from you. I apply your techniques and it makes it so much better and easier. THANK YOU!!!

These are great tips! I watched this video a couple months ago but found it again and still love it. My nails lasts so long now maybe 3-4 weeks tops. I wash my hands and dishes often and occasionally use my nails to open soda cans and such but nothing too heavy duty, and they still last!
So my take away is you dont have to go about life too cautiously if you have pretty nails, theres no fun in that. Just enjoy your nails and life to it's full potential. If it pops off, do it again and have fun :)

This was helpful; thank you! I do ALL the nail prep, use the tools and prep solutions but I was still getting lifting. I learned 2 things: 1 I wash my hands or use water way too much too. I’m an art teacher to little kids and artist so I always have paint/glue/oil pastels, whatever on my hands and nails. I need to start wearing gloves bc after I wash and use nail scrub brush, I always apply hand lotion and cuticle oil. I know I’m over washing and over moisturizing. 2. I will use the primer over the tips after filing. I never thought of that. I just went into base.
Love the 80’s vibe here. It was like watching a nail tutorial on Stranger Things! Little girl in the 80’s but teen during the 90’s. ❤

OMG I’ve been needing this video! I got the newest gel x kit but couldn’t make them last and I was getting so frustrated! After ordering the nail drill and following this video my nails are SOLID. Thank you for putting this out there. With all the videos I've watched, I thought I had the process down. That is, until, for the first time ever, my set popped off before I even got to paint them! It was right after I put them on. I scratched my head then POP! So I've been scouring trying to find the reason and you said it here...I buffed them way too smooth! I didnt even realize the effect that had until now. With that and so many other tidbits, I appreciate your very detailed explanations and steps. I learned new things here❤

DONE! :) I love this easier method!! 😊❤🎉

Personally for me, my nails stick up like a ski ramp, so i actually do better with less nail glue, without the little blob at all, so i can press the nail tip all the way flat. I just paint on a thin layer of the glue onto the nail tip and I'm good to go.
I think you are putting on too much glue but it looks like your nails point downwards so it works out to make your nails more level.
Also wanted to thank you for making these types of educational videos! I've been watching you for years and you've really upped my nail game 😊😊😊😊

This is one of the best videos I have watched. I noticed a few times that you were using a small pink swab during your video. Was this alcohol wipes being used between some of the steps? I wrote down all your steps and I want to make sure I have this right. It will be my first time doing this. :)
