ahaha I worded that wrongly, i was by no means saying what you were doing wasn't creative at all, my bad, i think what your doing is pretty sweet, but in some of his stuff he does use one. just a suggestion for the people who wanna see the capabilities of korg who haven't already seen it.
Hey, I am just wondering what I should get. The akai apc40, akai mpd32 or this? This is obviously the most advanced but it looks a little bit different. What are differences between the 3? I am going to get fruity loops to make music ad maybe ableton live which the both of the akai are used for. What is the kaossilator used for? I know it has built in sounds so does this mean that you dont need to plug it into a laptop? Someone please get back to me :)
well if you listen closely, i started this beat with a pre-recorded hi hat loop. i just laid the drums down in timing with that loop. once you've sampled a drum, it's in there. you have to erase the whole bank and start again if you're off beat.
@PitifulActivity you're limited only by your imagination. especially when you start sampling other external devices with it. i've got 2 KP3s as well that i use in live shows. love em so much i packed up my turntables after 15 years of spinnin
Yer the korg kaossilator looks awesome. You reminded me about it :P The other two are drum pad type things made for ableton. I am getting native instruments komplete 8 ultimate and maschine. I will defintely have to get a korg kassoliator. Another one that is good is the novation launchpad and the midi fighter 3d.
@mamoo2 i wrote it and practiced it for a few days before i recorded it. i've never played with the original one, but this one is certainly a lot of fun. thanks for checking it out, hope you peep some of my newer vids as well
@BeastofAirsoft12 if you're referring to my use of the delete key, then i can explain. if you hold the delete key AND hold down a loop bank button, it will overwrite and record the new input you're playing.
@MrShiver55 the kaossilator pro has a memory card (or SD card) slot. you can write all of your sounds to the card and use them again later. it also has RCA output so recording is an option of course.
@SorgenofBloodmoon I think you'd be hard pressed to do that, this is more of an improv device because of the inaccuracy of the touch pad, unless you have total surgical precision with your hands :)
Just posted this video on a blog named TheBPM.weebly.com. this is truely a hot device for production. This was a great demonstration of its capabilities
@judonomi I really want to invest in one because I want a drum machine and something for synth because I want to write tech-deathcore music but just don't want to waste 400$ on something I can't use. I'll probably get one though. Would you recommend the pro model more or the cheaper model?
Question . Why is this recorded with some microphone ? The vid would have been 50% more awesome if the sound was clear and we couldnt hear you turning the knobs ... The beat is so awesome it actually bugs me its not in its pure state , so to say .
@EarsSoSmall Agreed. He shows not only his skill but how to put a sick beat together. Now it's just back to the old ideas of composition and writing. Mindless noise? Hardly. This is the cutting edge of digital classical music. Right here.
I want one of these really bad, but I am new to synth entirely. I am tech inclined and it looks like I could figure out how to use it. Is it ridiculous to learn how to use these or is it just a little challenging at first?
i was just wondering, do u think anyone without a musical background could have fun with this if they listen to a lot of electronic type music? i really want one but i dont want to buy something i might not use after a month...
I hope you are aware that these technologies are in existence in order to re-shape our brains in order to fly spaceships. There are a lot of buttons in spaceships and our timing must be impeccable.
Yea i got one of these. I barley even read the manual it comes with. It's pretty user friendly seeing as i never had any other korg product beforehand. Tons of fun! Well worth it Imo.
kaossilators are ready to play live synthesizers. its got preloaded sounds and instruments and you can create music on the fly, no laptop required. just run it out to some speakers.
awesome. im selling my ipad and im due a tax rebate so i want one of these so bad. i have the mini version but its done its job now. i have a question. what comes in the box?
Hey, nice track! But does the kaossilator only loop things so that you can hear them in the moment of making the music, or is it possible to record a real track?
@PitifulActivity I plan on almost abandoning fruity loops for when I get this instrument! Hopefully I'll get to the point where I can be as good as he is.
one of the best kaossilator performances on youtube mate!
best kaossilating i've seen. This guy is good at putting some sounds together.
ahhhh cheers :) send us an email when you get some recording done ye?
thanks for the post and thanks for the good word
Thats sick m8 keep em coming good work

@PitifulActivity wow man thanks for the comment and thanks for watching. i think i should put up another one... drum and bass perhaps???
@judonomi I really want to invest in one because I want a drum machine and something for synth because I want to write tech-deathcore music but just don't want to waste 400$ on something I can't use. I'll probably get one though. Would you recommend the pro model more or the cheaper model?
@pauls2ndblessng i guess whatever key pattern it's in straight out the box. i havent had it too long so still messin around on it
Question .
Why is this recorded with some microphone ?

@judonomi Yeah, can't go wrong with a bit of D&B. I've actually got a K0 Pro, but I'm still experimenting with it! Great little machine! :)
I want one of these really bad, but I am new to synth entirely. I am tech inclined and it looks like I could figure out how to use it. Is it ridiculous to learn how to use these or is it just a little challenging at first?

@xT3hDoct4hHsojx it's not too bad. you can figure it out pretty fast, especially if you're familiar with korg products
I hope you are aware that these technologies are in existence in order to re-shape our brains in order to fly spaceships. There are a lot of buttons in spaceships and our timing must be impeccable.

fun machine but extremely touchy for live beat making. dunno how i'd feel in a live setting with this thing
Hey, nice track! But does the kaossilator only loop things so that you can hear them in the moment of making the music, or is it possible to record a real track?

@StarmanDeluxe2001 true... not to mention when you're playing live the nerves can really get to you.
where did you get your kaossilator? i noticed your gate and line/mic is on the right and mines on the left. and great vid sounds reallly good
Don't know much about thoes other products you listed but I can at least assure you that the kaossolator pro is really really awsome..
The best Kaossilator Pro demo on TH-cam! You should be working for Korg!!! Magic performance!!!
The video is mirrored for some reason - try reading where it says "kaossilator pro" on the top of the synth. The text is backwards.
I was confused at first then I realized the the video was mirrored. I was like, "my gate arp lever is on the other side" lolz
I have to say this is one of the better sounding examples of the Kaossilator nice track
I got one also, they cost around 500 dollars Canadian. Got mine a couple years ago tho so may be a little cheaper.
Hard to hear the dubstep there. Like it though; seems pretty precise and unforgiveable device for live forging.
Just got one of these for Christmas :) It's fun (: you're really good my friend!
always gotta be high when making dubstep, you be surprised the shit that gets put out when ppl are high
yes finally-the dubstep is what dubstep should be , variable and not just wawawawa and aggressive
@pp133sam these are the samples programmed into the device. no importing
i want what you have right there. your beat sound like it saying poor rick. funny pretty cool
i can not make a song that quick i always hit the wrong note even if i know which one i need
If I get one of these yeah do I really need a KP3 or would it be pointless?? good tune to =)
you really wanna see this demonstrated creatively, check out beardyman,
Hehe Recorded on 4/20. Haha besides that I just got mine and by tittywinkle its amazing!!
Well done for making the good kind of dubstep (no stupid 'drop') just constantly cool :D
Great date to be recording stuff on....completely understandable haha. Nice beat man
but you can sample as well? because i wanna have one, but i'm not quite sure.. :(
How long would it take u to get to that level of skill with one of those things?
i love how the Kaossilator pro has all these buttons, knobs, and switches.
KORG ALL THE WAY....My mom dj's and she uses this for mixes.....amazing :)
If you put a little more time into it, this could be a sellable track. :)
amazing bro..... what software for u to live record... \
HOLY FUCKING SHIT! Y DIDNT I HEAR OF ONE OF THESE.
that would be nuts. god i wish i had four more hands
i see you have a orp rotalissoak grok....very good performance
Kao da kaze Burek Burek Burek...ahahhaa
recorded on 420... cheeyaaaaaaa
Dude this is a masterpiece. I would buy this. Keep it up man...
Why is the video mirrored?
How long did it take to learn to be able to use it like that?
bro are these sounds on the machine or did you import them?
Sounds great man, what key and pattern was it set too?
