@@gtsporttour506 Thanks. I’ve seen a couple of the videos of the 4 seat F80 M3, so agree another in-depth one on that particular car might not be needed. I guess I was just pointing out that Robert hadn’t mentioned the car in this video, as it’s another part of his M-car “collection” as it were (a mightily fine set of motors it is shaping up to be too). Perhaps he’ll surprise us with an E46 at some point? I believe an E46 CSL engine might be going into the Team Schirmer E36 build which is exciting. All the very best R!
@@RobertMitchell Please consider 16" or even 15" wheels for the E30 M3. I had cheap 17s on my E30, and apart from having stock suspension so it looked like it was on stilts, too much metal makes a relatively low-powered car feel like the wheels are driving the car to some extent. I know forged wheels will alleviate the weight issue somewhat, but so will moving to a smaller diameter wheel. As you say, it's not a race car, and you want some comfort out of it too. And if it's not too much to ask, a general M3 update-video from time to time would be nice, especially as the E46 (and maybe an E36?) arrives. Just to keep us all in the loop. Nothing big, maybe before/after shots of the parts in and out of the car, that kind of thing.
My friend had an E46 M3 for his 1st BMW, he then owned 3(or was it 4) CSL's with an E92 M3 in between. He has now got a GT3RS. He does plan on going to the ring this year, but not as much as he did with his CSL's.
An in-depth look into the E92 would be appreciated. A look into what makes a Schirmer E92 would be cool as I own an E90 and know the chassis fairly well.
Yeah, I concur. Learning more about Shirmer is something I'd like to see. I mean AC Schnitzer & Manhart have some great builds. What's makes Shirmer special?
Somehow when I watch this video, I get that feeling of you getting M car not just because its M car, but the history and passion behind it, truly amazing collection.
Love the e92 shape, still probs my favourite looking 3 series. I only have a 335i as a daily but never want to part with it, and it mad it puts out the same torque as that track motor.
You talk about your Cars with so much passion and try to get every little detail you love about a certain car across to the viewer. It's really wholesome how much you connect to your cars. You certainly are not a collector in the sense of one having a big garage and hoping they increase in value.
Good things tend to succeed, if it’s meant to be. Sounds like a cliche, because even if we maybe don’t know why, that’s how it appears to work. Robert and Misha are a great example. As is APEX. A lot of hard work, no doubt. Don’t get me wrong.
I loved my E92. It was probably the best M3 I owned. I don't have one of the new ones as I bought the M2 instead, looking for a car with less nannies for the boomers.

Quote “it is more fun to drive a slow car fast then a fast car slow” probably doesn’t hold up with the Ring in your backyard. Our F82 just completed its warranty period time to start the mods. Great channel!
E46 is a car that still looks like a true BMW. I currently drive as a daily the E46 330i. Not fast but at home between 100-140 mph and the road going to and coming from work doesn’t have a speed limit or traffic, always on the other direction. Love it and with 294,000 kms on the car nothing other than normal services have been completed. I do change my oil a lot more than I need to but I do that on all my cars.
4k content as promised! The92 is my favorite m car ever! Been in loads of passenger laps in my friends e92 m3 and each lap i get goose bumps and a big smile from ear to ear!
I'll never forget my first time feeling an S14. Remined me almost of an S2000. Slightly out of my price range, but the 2.7 stroker in my E30 at least has that iconic inline six sound with a schrick 288.
M3's at the absolute best. Robert is definitely one of the very few TH-camrs thats a real car enthusiast with racing experience and his own learned valuable knowledge. Thanks for amazing content.
After my taxilap i saw it was very quiet in the R-town barn. I asked george if i could lay my eyes on the beautifull VLN car. And what a beast is it in person.

The e92 is my preferred M3... awesome style and great motor. May I ask you why is the bonnet badge missing on the e30? It looks like the previous owner filled up the shape that held the BMW badge... Are you going to restore it?
Please do an in-depth on every built car. Engine, trans, suspension, fuel system, electronics, exterior, interior, seats, etc... we learn a lot of the why and can then try to build in a similar setup because you’ve already done the testing. :)
When I think about the Nurburgring, these are the kind of cars I think about. When I hear you talk about them, you really get the feeling they're more than the sum of their parts. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the e36 when that comes!

However, upon seeing the quality of the paint and listening to his subs opinions, he’s now leaving it in this stunning blue for the 2021 season. Mechanicals and interior can now take priority and it should be ready in March around when the track opens 😃
In my opinion The E92 3 series is the best looking BMW in the last 15 years. Even in stock form like my SE there isn't one single thing that doesn't look right. Timeless, elegant design without any unnecessary wings and flaps etc. So couple that with a wonderful sounding V8 and you have my idea of perfection.
About rear coilover setup on e30, I was talking about rear suspension arm, not chassis. Bottom bolt for the damper. If you have TUV approved rear coilovers than I take it back! Maybe someone has stress tested that point. But I know of bent rear arms on compacts and I think e30 is the same. Sorry to bother you again on this, I think you are really cool for sharing your collection. Sincerely, fellow BMW collector 🙂

Great vid Robert. The e46 was the car that made me fall in love with BMW, though it is a rare 1 of 45 Euro-Spec Canadian e36 that is my goal. Americans got the weaker version that year. Again... looking forward to seeing your cars (esp. the e30) when I make the 6000 or so km trip to Apex next summer.
