Just wanted to let you know that I admire your ability to be able to decide that something isn't working for you and making the brave decision to let it go. People always say you shouldn't quit, but it's not about quitting, it's about only doing what feeds your soul and letting all other things go. That goes for jobs, relationships, living in a certain location and so many other things. Many blessings to you. Everything will work out.

I need to go get a library card...I moved here a year ago and still haven't got one. I also love going to thrift stores...I go about once a week. About 90% of my wardrobe was thrifted. And you never know what you are going to find! I've got a few items worth several hundred dollars that I scored for $3 or $4. Plus, it's a bit of an fu to capitalism. Almost everything I own was bought used, for basically peanuts, and is stuff that will last a lifetime.
Seeeee you get me!! Haha and I totally hope this has inspired you to go get a library card! Easily the most fun you can have for free!
I use the Alaska digital library and never even have to go to the library to get my books. I just went once to get my card. Now I just do ebooks and audiobooks.

If you use Coco Lopez cream of coconut (not coconut milk) you can easily make a mean Piña Colada, here's how:
Piña Colada Coco Lopez recipe:
Makes one
1 cup ice
1/2 cup frozen pineapple*
2 oz. pineapple juice
2 oz. Coco Lopez cream of coconut
1.5 oz white rum**
1 oz dark rum**
*Optional, but it will give it body and add to the flavor
** Hold the alcohol for virgin drinks (it will still be delicious!!!)
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Transfer to a hurricane glass.
Optional (delicious) garnishes:
Make a small slit on the thinner end of your pineapple. Put a toothpick through it and thread a cherry on top. Garnish the glass.

As a Canadian, I can't wait to see you enjoy the vast wilderness that we have. Travel guides are great, but you know that locals always know the best secret spots. And seeing you happy and healthy on a day off is just as amazing as watching you adventure. Also, Princess Mononoke is the best, IMO

Loui The Adventurous One, per your last " dark video " where you appeared lost and confused about your life's direction, etc. !!! To quote a very dear friend " It is both a blessing and a curse to fill everything so very deeply ". That is easily relatable to a young person trying to find themselves and their way in life. If a person can reach 25 - 30 yrs. old without falling prey to peer pressure, Sex, Drugs, or Rock & Roll ( actually Rock & Roll Music is good for you, just for not the junk/people that go with it ), they have a fair chance of striking out on a journey of their own without all the inherent baggage that almost always sabotages a young person's dreams/aspirations. Once a person gets to that age ( depending on maturity ), the pretend gloves come off, and the world slaps them squarely in their face with a heavy dose of reality that NEVER goes away, nor will it EVER. Welcome to the world, now make it what you want it to be, or strive to as much as you desire to. It gets better, but you have to work at it. Always, Syn Silver.

Comments were off for your previous video, so I want to tell you that what you did was probably very wise. You mention not being able to ingest enough calories to stay strong. I know fishermen and you MUST be strong in those jobs. If your body can’t stay energized and strong, that can be such a significant safety hazard for you and boat mates. Finally: The decisions of life can be hard, but that doesn’t mean they are wrong.

I totally dig ur last video. Its basically alaska in a nutshell VERY HARD but that being said ur a badass and smart as well because if the hard work isn't worth it financially then ur saving urself alot of hassle and trouble. Love this video as well and im jealous!

Wow! I just found your channel and I think it’s great that you are taking a chance in life by going out into the wild sorta speak? You are a amazing person! Boy if I was 20 again I would be right up there with you! Whatever you do? be positive with good intentions! I am a 52 year old man who has had a crazy fun adventurous life but 6 years ago my brain imploded and I was a hot mess to say the least. I was paralyzed on my left side of my body and my cognitive ability was down the crapper! I went through years of physical rehabilitation and a slew of mental health therapy disciplines to get myself back on line. I am happy to say that the worst is behind me and I am on the mend! During my journey I have learned so much about myself and realized how much I took life for granted before my trauma . I was introduced to the practice of meditation/awareness from a beautiful soul of a therapist during my recovery and it really saved my bacon! I am starting to ramble, it’s one of my quirks since my trauma but I am a work in progress! I just wanted to say you are a wonderful person and I wish you nothing but the best in your journey! I did a lot of traveling and odd jobs in mine and it is hard making tough decisions and setting boundaries for yourself. Never any shame in doing what is best for you and it is no one’s business but your own!

Im so with you re plastic bags, except … they sure do come in handy for cleaning up after my dogs. Not having them for that is kind of an issue, cuz those bags sold on rolls for this purpose are expensive! The thrift store/grocery/library/natural foods haul was awesome! You got some good stuff!!

That’s what friends are for! I truly believe however though that sometimes in life you go through eras of being alone more. It’s just time to go inward more and learn more about yourself or your hobbies. Being lonely or alone doesn’t have to be a bad thing. 😘

Being alone and feeling lonely are completely different things. You have to make yourself someone that YOU want to be with all the time, otherwise you will feel lonely and need to be around other people to fill you constantly.
