Yeah as others have pointed out. You will need finasteride as well. Minoxidil will only grow the hair, not stop the hair fall, and eventually the hairfall will outpace minoxidil alone, eventually leading to minoxidil "not working anymore" But good luck to you on your journey brother salute P.S. when you get finasteride, try to get 0.5 to 1 mg if possible. It has the same efficacy with the lowest chances of any unwanted side effects. For example if you can only get it in the form of 2 mg or 5mg try to get a pill cutter to reduce the dosage to 1 mg. May also be worth talking with your doctor to having your testosterone levels tested.

I’ve also heard from another TH-camr that saw palmetto acts as a DHT blocker and is safer than using something like finasteride. Do you have any experience with using Finasteride or some for of a DHT blocker? If so, what did you notice upfront.

@@Gammashairjourney yes there is some validity to taking saw palmetto supplements, as well as zinc, biotin and magnesium (typically magnesium glycinate, however dont take this with vitamin d3 supplements at the same time since they may interact with each other) from what i've researched. If you're catching it early enough it's worth a try to look into those things. But i will say, if you notice no improvements after 3-6 months going the more natural way, dont keep beating a dead horse and go the finasteride route. I've taken finasteride in the past at the smaller dosages i mentioned and didn't notice any issues, but i had to stop due to some financial reasons. I as well am planning to try the natural route this time before going back to finasteride though.

    What about a hair transplant?

I’m trying to avoid that but I’m also thinking it might be my reality. Let’s see what I can save/hang onto and then possibly get a transplant in a year
