Darius knows he doesn't need to be fancy, he knows we're well aware of what he's capable of, and well aware of how dangerous he really is. His entire atmosphere and aura gives me chills during his final race.
I do think it's a little too short and missing some of the quickrace stuff in the story like canyon checkpoint, city drift and of course a little more context and detail too the story, but I gotta say I like the length. Because it is so short I am more motivated to play through it again with different cars or a different wingman and all. I really don't get why people are hating on carbon.

You forget Kenji, Angie and Wolf entrances in their Tier 3 Cars(cutscene after Darius Call), their race appearances(circuit and canyon duel) in Silverton.
Imagine if the player came from behind instead, Wolf would have had to pull the Player's drift against Darius or look stupid trying to turn around normally or using reverse.
We need games like this. We need a game that have crew battles, canyon races (touge), wicked cars and its customizations, sick musics and great storylines. This game, along with NFSU 1&2, MW is one of the examples of what racing games should be.
The only two scenes that had me feel badass were Wolf's and Dariu's… and in today's time I still feel like the track After Party belongs to Wolf and Hype Boys to Darius ×D
Basically, Kenji made the Mazda RX-7 one of my favorite cars. I think it took me something like 108 attempts to beat Darius at the canyon. And I only succeeded once

Everybody sleeping on Carbon even though it's better than Most Wanted. Yeah, I said it. Most Wanted is legendary, but it is overrated that it overshadowed Carbon. I really like Race Wars in particular.
Both were unique in their own way. Most wanted gave more emphasis on cop chases whereas u could practically go through the whole carbon career without a single cop chase, but carbon’s cops were actually harder to escape from. Carbon also had more intense races, better physics, customization and pretty much any improvements you’d expect from a true direct sequel of a game, it just had a short career. But overall, people just prefer one to another. But there’s no denying the fact MW05 and carbon are the peak of nfs and black box’s masterpieces.
@@guerillla6 Carbon's cops are harder to escape from until you enter cooldown mode where it gets easy to avoid the cops. Most Wanted's cops are easier to escape but when cooldown mode kicks in the game starts spawning cops in bullshit areas where it's hard to avoid. Carbon's cops are better and more balanced imo since they actually ram you. Sucks that they didn't involve any bounty hunting/infractions
Aspectic yeah, and don’t even get me started on most wanted’s rhinos. Jesus Christ those things were nightmares, Fucking cruise missiles if you ask me. Much more easier to deal with in carbon.

Its been about 14 years since I've seen these cut scenes. Heck I dont even remember them ever existing. I played the PC version day and night back then and still do now. Just not as much. Great game overall. Why couldn't heat be this good?
Fun fact: If you either use a mod or cheat to challenge a boss before you take over the entire area, and you haven't met them a second time yet, but the trigger for this event is the next race, the boss will take the place of your crewmate, AND will also appear normally. I discovered this while playing Carbon Redux and its kinda hilarious to have Angie trashtalking me, while her doppelganger is right beside me. And we had a canyon race right after.

I find it funny that wolf at the end of the game has a faster car than darius. Why do they give the R8 such stats when it should be the same as the Gallardo?
You mean faster in real life right? Darius's R8 is an exotic with the handle of a tuner,basicly the best car in the game,although the corvette and the viper beat its acceleration It's still better.
