How does ketamine work if it doesn’t allow NMDA receptor to function?
normally the receptors are functioning. Ketamine brings about changes by blocking these functions.
❤❤❤
Ultimately Non competitive Antagonism result is 0?
👏👏👏👌👌👌👍
Hello sir, how to know if the drug is competitive or non competitive, just by names?for example If in exam they just say a pt is prescribed Atorvastatin, so Atorvastatin causes what kind of inhibition? How to know this?
There is no such thing as knowing the type of inhibition from name. You have to remember for each one of them. Mostly the inhibitions that we see are competitive. So going for it in case you don't remember increases your chance of being right in exams. But in real life, you cannot generalized such things in medical field. You should know specifically what you are supposed to know.
@@NonstopNeuron thank you so much 😊
better than my textbook for sure!
Nice Video, but I once heard there are things like uncompetitive antagonists too, i dont really know what they are, could you explain that too
Except for that, this was a great Video ;)
I am following a fixed schedule. So that video might not come anytime soon.
