i have 2 strips but they are connected, for some reason one of them always becomes the different color, for example i clicked white, it comes out lime, can u please help?

Check your connections and make sure the pins are lined up. Also, you may have connected the strips upside down, so turn one of the connectors 180 degrees and try again.
